Losing MFDs & HUD when switching from cockpit to outside view and back
-
Subject line pretty much says it all. Running KTO 64-bit.
Start mission, gear up, headed to target, later go to outside views of enemy aircraft in vicinity, come back to my pit 3D view. Do this repeatedly with no issues. Then, do it once more and I’ve completely lost my HUD display and both of my MFD displays in my pit. No amount of view switching brings them back.
It’s repeatable in the sense that it happens again and again, yet random in that switching views DOESN’T blank out the displays until it does (seemingly randomly), and then I have no choice but to discard the mission. Happened again three different missions tonight.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Same here.
Was there for me before U2 also. Not regularly occurring, which is of course frustrating. I’ve gotten to where, when I feel that temptation to “take a look-see”, I resist it

Yes, same here. It started with U1.

Easy fix, don’t do the last external view switch.
You need to get a GPU with more then 256k of Vram.
On a serious note, I have seen this, even before U1, but only on very rare occasions.
PS It could be the YAH overlay coming apart.

I’m just hoping for an acknowledgement/support from the ‘BMS Tech Support’ guys… lolol

This issue was also in another thread I meant to search out and say same as here. The fix that works for me every single time is same as fixes the double cursor on 3d screen. CTRL alt Delete (slightly alarming but is fine) followed by escape and displays are back.
My bms mode is with external displays selected in config. Have not tried in any other mode.

Thank you, Cobalt– I will try that.
I’d still love to hear from the BMS team, at least acknowledge that you’re aware of this issue…
