@Ice:
George, can I say George?
Is there a way to have a shortcut set for the disable/enable function of the program itself?
And is there a way to set the time between inputs for keybindings to be processed?Hi, toggle switch to on/off KeySpeech could be defined in Hotkeys screen as predefined action (next release) … You may set delay time for each keybinding in Voice Command Editor screen, or you may set Pause time between each iteration when you use Repeat value.
Update : KeySpeech v3.0.7 is released

Hello !
I have one question about Keyspeech. I know that the program use Windows voice recognition, but in windows control panel, I see that my Windows speech recognition is only in French.
I imagine that I can’t use keyspeech because phrases are in English and Windows want French, and accents are totally different. I searched on the net if I can change the language of Windows voice recognition, but It seems to be possible only during windows installation… I don’t really want to reinstall windows, but I think it’s the only way to use Keyspeech. Have you got any idea ?
I’m using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits - SP1.
(I’m sorry, I think my English is not so good)
-
AFAIK, you can set up your Voice-Thingi Language in Win7 Pro or higher.
In the lower ones, it shouldnt be possible, it uses the Language, in which it is delivered. -
Arf, so there is no way for me to use Keyspeech The last thing I can do is change phrases, like if I pronounce English with a French accent… For exemple, “tower request landing” could be “tauweur rickweste lèndig”, and windows might recognize french.

Try it.
IIRC, on my side it is the same and VAC is working perfectly anyway.

@Icewind, You can try with" Vistalizator"
I did it with my previous windows version home vista and it worked fine. I have checked just now that you can do it with seven version, and it seems ok with yours.;)@Dee-Jay : I did the same at fisrt, but really, it works much better with english language installed . .
English speech recognition engine trained with a french accent is better than french engine trained to pronounce english words, with french or even english accent … , isn’t it ?Windblow

Thanks for the link Windblow ! I tried to install the English MUI pack with the tool, and it seems to be done. I reboot my pc, and I go to control panel, in the voice recognition section. I can see that English is now installed :
But when I create a new profile and I select English-US or English-UK, and I click on “apprentissage” (Train Profile…), an error message appears :
“Speech Recognition could not start because the language configuration is not supported.
The recognizer language must match the language of the user interface. Please change the recognizer language in the Speech Recognition control panel under Advanced Options.”Must I set all my Windows in English ?
-
Well, things are far away now for me, and as it was with an other computer, I haven’t saved links to forum or topics I used.
As I can remember after a short surf with google, Vistalizator has 2 functions : one is to install new languages, second to switch between them, depending what you need.So yes, I think you have to switch to english when you intend to fly Falcon. But No you don’t need to set allyour windows in English, just a switch !;)
Maybe that could help :http://xsolutions.free.fr/home/windows/systemewin/wininternational/vistalizator.php
Hum, I am just wondering if I didn’t post something in C6 forum, probably a few years ago. I will check !Windblow

Thanks for your help !
I will try tomorrow. Today, when the installation finished, it asked me if I wanted to change windows language automatically after the installation so I didn’t have to click on the “change language” button.
I accepted and the computer restarted. But it was very long, and after a moment, I stopped the computer and I executed a restoration of the system with the repaired mode. I may have been a little bit too impatient ^^ So I will try with the change button, and I will be more patient !
If I stay in French, in the voice recognition setup, I can see English language but I can’t execute the profile’s trainer like I wrote in my last post.
-
I have read that it could take about 20 min to install new languages !
-
Yes, it takes 10-20 minutes to install a pack, but when you use vistalizator.
I don’t read that it takes 20 minutes at the reboot, after the installation which already took 20 minutes

@Icewind If you want to use english profile, Windows must switch to english, then train your Windows Recognition profile, then revert back to your language. KeySpeech uses the default Windows Recognition profile. If you want to check which Windows Recognition profile is used by KeySpeech: go to Windows taskbar, then right click on KeySpeech’s icon, then click on About (first item) and you’ll see the profile name under User profile’s label.
-
Thanks you so much guys !!! It works !!
Today, I started my computer, I executed Vistalizator, and English was already installed. I clicked on the “change language” button, it asked me if I would like to change to English and I accepted. I clicked on the exit button and it asked me if I wanted to restart my computer now. I accepted, and pc rebooted. After few seconds, windows appeared, I wrote my password and then, I had windows in English !!!
I checked in voice recognition panel, and I can train my profile in English.
@Windblow : Thanks for the tool, nothing was possible without vistalizator, and after some research, I found nothing to change my OS language, since I have just an home premium version. THANKS !
@Keyspeech : Thanks for these details ! Yesterday I thought that I have to stay in English to use my profile. But you said that after my profile’s training, I can switch back to French. It’s very interressant and I will do that.

I’m trying to use keyspeech, but I have no success with it… I did 7 or 8 training sessions. I set a joystick button as a Push to talk, I activate Keyspeech, I load a profile, and I try to say some commands when I’m in Falcon, while pressing the push to talk. But nothing happens. I tried to speak louder, speak slowly, but nothing.
I set the accuracy slider to 95% and I checked the box to save at the next start. I verified that Keyspeech uses the profile which I trained.
I tried to open notepad, and check “Enable syntheside voice”, and when I say some phrases, nothing happens…
Have you got any idea ?
-
@Icewind Higher value of the accuracy slider mean that pronunciation needs to be perfect (according to your Windows Recognition Profile), so you can start with value 0, then move accuracy value gradually. Also make sure that your profile is selected in Settings screen : go to Windows taskbar, right click on KeySpeech’s icon, then select Settings item and go to Profile tab.

Thanks for your help !
It works very fine now !! My accuracy slider is set on 70. I have 79 % of success, and I hope it will improve with time.
I will buy it without hesitation. It’s an amazing tool and profiles are great !

Very good ! [emoji1][emoji106]
Average accuracy value can help you to adjust accuracy slider value. To see the average : go to Windows taskbar and move the cursor over KeySpeech’s icon and you will see this value in the balloon tip.
-
Yep I read it with your method.
When I would have enough experience with Keyspeech, I will adjust the accuracy slider with the average accuracy value like you said.
Thank you very much for your advice !

I am an above average non native speaker and the highest number that works for me is 92%.
And I only set it so high because it is important to use the highest possible when using keyspeech during online flying to avoid false positives. -
Important note, you must speak as naturally as possible when you train your voice recognition profile. The goal is not to try to pronounce the words with a different accent, but yours. This is true for every software using Windows Recognition Engine.
