Custom Modded Folder 4.32
-
@Master:
Btw, i have modified the database to allow only 1 maverick in pylons 3,7 of all f-16. After your folder, it defaulted back to 3 per pylon. I thought your folder doesnt interfere?
Agree on the current loadout settings. But to my knowledge (not much) the F-16 can carry a tripple MAV on the LAU-88. Operation wise in RL it is not done much and the LAU-117 is carried with only 1 MAV. But it can carry 3 on HD 3 and 7. So config would be correct.
Cheers,

The LAU-88 was removed from service before 2000, the inboard missile caused tail scorching (so they used only 2 mavs on each launcher) and the bottom one’s too much drag, hence i removed them for my own style preference. There is info over f-16.net about that. http://www.f-16.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11084
My point was not about the real life loadout but the fact that the moded folder altered the database. So, does it do that only to revert to defaults or are there other modifications? -
Good call than. And check my settings, ame here. All 3/7 stations are on 3 MAV’s.

Great work. In case you haven’t tryed it, can you add metalheads f-22? It conflicts when i install it after installing your folder (messes up f-16 skins somehow) and if i do it beforehand, your folder overwrites it. Also when i install additional have glass skins for the block50 the intake and TGP pylon get black. Btw, i have modified the database to allow only 1 maverick in pylons 3,7 of all f-16. My folder doesn’t interfere with the stock bms install. You have modified your install. M3.0 is for those who have a stock install and would like to GoPro! from a base install. Metalheads F-22 mod has texture conflicts with other mods. This is the reason why it did not make the cut. You have also modified your database. Although I agree with the more realistic loadout of one mav per pylon (USAF never used the triple rack ejector in combat) it causes you to modify a stock database. For me that is a no no since I wanted the modded folder to be FULLY compatible with stock BMS.
Workaround:
Install the modded folder
Install Metal’s F-22 cockpit
Check the texture sets that are used by both.
Edit Metal’s textures that are conflicting in LOD editor to point to other .dds sets that are not being used.
Add the .dds files to the new set. This should work only if it is JUST a texture conflict.
I seriously considered adding cockpits, and ran through several cockpit mods (Block 40 hud being one of them), however there were just too many issues. This was one of the major things holding up the release for such a long time. Once you start going down that road it only makes sense to go to the next level IMO, which is an add-on theater, such as molni’s 80’s and such.

gothca, i’ll see if i can speak to metalhead to make his mod compatible with your folder since his f-22 is great and you folder is a hit as well
-
Actually I know Metalhead pretty well, he’s flies with a bunch a bagabonds that I know . I will contact him about compatablity for a future release. However I feel the weather changing as the 4.33 storm quickly approaches…

Do you mean the dark Taxi light cone?
or the f-16 shadow looking like a tree
or the apron texture alignement mismatch
or the side nose texture mismatch?Wild modding to it’s maximum

Ice,
That’s because you most probably installed RF RP6 on top of a previously modded BMS database install, meaning you’re using stock F-16 models in RF combined with texture maps for Janhas’s LVN2 models.
What happens is that you have to install Red Flag over a stock BMS install, unmodded, because the Red Flag installer will copy your Data folder. If you’re installing Red Flag over a modded BMS install, i.e. LVN2 models, CCIP pits, it will be porked.
Best guy to clarify that is A.S, I think.
Anyway, same happened to me the 1st time I installed RF, but now I managed to “repair” things and everything’s fine.
If you like, I can give you the steps I took in order to make RF “compatible” with your previously modded install.
Cheers

Too much honor Red Dog. Wouldn’t call it wild modding.
Default Falcon, copy/past with Rthorflech M3.0 with a taste of RED FLAG RP6 v4 R1. Nothing more. Quite easy really.
And with some renaming I am back to good old default BMS.@ Nuno Santos.
Thanks for the offer Nuno Santos but I’ll manage.Cheers,

For those who have the red flag theater, you do not have to re-install BMS if you have the modded folder installed. Simply rename the M3.0 folder and replace with the default objects folder from the backup made before you installed M3.0.
