Resolution 2560x1080?
-
you set is as normal in the graphics tab in falcon. then you can increase the FOV if you like for better results. I use a monitor like that
-
New monitor resolution -> delete display.cfg in the Config folder.
This should be a sticky together with the âexit and restart after every visit to 3D falcon worldâ.No beginner can guess these on his own. First thing a noob learns in a squadron I guess.

I have a 2560x1080 monitor and love it. Setup is as cipher said. Iâm still playing with the FOV but 90 seems to be good âfor meâ so far.
Enjoy

Just curious how do you adjust FOV up to 90, can you do it in the config or do you do it differently

in user/config/ displaydx9.dsp or something very close to that

Even the experts get it wrong I see, More confusion for the âbeginnerâ Ha

Hi Dafne,
Find your X:\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Config folder then open the Falcon BMS.cfg file. I use NotePad++ ( itâs free) when making any changes to program files but you can use windows notepad.
Make a Backup
Once it is open look for set g_fDefaultFOV 60 it should be on or about line 21, change it to 90 or whichever FOV you wish. Now you have to make one more change further down to set the new maximum FOV allowed. Look for set g_fMaximumFOV 80 on or about line 85 and change the max FOV to 120. This will let you play with your FOV up to 120 which I would not recommend but to each their own. If you want to go higher just set a higher max FOV number.
You will notice that the in game UI configuration menu will still only show up to 80 so when you want to try a different FOV you have to do it in the .cfg file.
Hope that helps.

So i hijack on to this thread!! My old monitor have given up!! it was a 1920x1200 16:10 monitor and falcon runs fine on it. My Q is I was thinking to buy a 27" 16:9 monitor at 1920x1080, Is that working good with Falcon ? or does it stretch the screen?
-
I have a 1920*1080 screen, no stretching.
