I can provide you rl charts, details etc for the airspace and airports you’ll need. But someone more experienced/with more free time should take care of the adjusted work for bms.

For the record, just so there’s no misunderstanding, I had nothing to do with the creation of the Norway theater. All I did was host it up there on Mediafire. Somebody deserves a lot of credit for their hard work, but it isn’t me.
I can’t believe how nice that terrain already looks, seriously. I’ll see if I can develop some campaign ideas for you; I’ve got several resources laying around that should help.

Would be really cool…I still remember ATC “Trondheim One” from EF2000 (or was that AWACS?..been a long time)…ahh the good ole’ days.
Did you extract a new map using 3DSMax or just rebuild using the Korean stuff? Just curious because I could make a fully topographical map using 3DSMax, even using high quality materials for texturing instead of sole use of tiles, but I have no idea how I would convert the file for use with BMS.
Just a thought and curiosity. I know you can make a fairly spectacular map, but I don’t know if 3DSmax terrain is even possible to implement or any good for a simulator or gaming.

If the theater uses the core DB I may create new campaign(s) but only with mine DB.
Likely the copy + paste should work. It is perfect for Cold War scenarios either. -

Molni - Your database would be great! Do you think that a small Little campaign is possible?
DrDetroit: a 3ds Max Terrain is not possible because the workload for the object Folder would be much to high. But I had the Idea to build some 3d objects like Offices and house new. So that means - In order of the textures I made. That should be better as the Korea buildings somewere in Northern Europe… It would take a lot of time.
However - What I did:
- added habours and chemical complex textures
- added the village and city-textures.
- corrected the elevations in south west of Norway
The really great Monster tool is working very slow while doing that. I needed over about 3 hours for 150 NM of coast lines. That is a bit frusticial but some day I will have it.
Next I have to do is
- correcting the rest of coast elevations ( that Needs a lot of time- and Music- and alcohol)
- creating new coast - textures and more variations
- creating streets and railways and set them on the map - per Hand (Important for campaigns?)
What I Need:
A guy who is creating a new GUI for 2d Planning world. That means: Map, Flags, coalationsSomeone could do that simultan because I work on the map only. Who will do that? (thater Screen, Loading Screen, Planning map, Pilots, Squadrons, ) Based on toonces original files - Who would do that?

@ Molni: to my humble opinion (I am biased, I know ) a Nordic theater should have Viggens and Drakens (Swedish, Danish and Finnish), especially in a Cold War scenario.

There are the last step in case every other thing is functional. My concern is in case anybody will ever make new aribase sonund how will affect in case I simply replace my DB with the core. I have no idea how are airbase radio comms in linked with DB.

None of them in core DB as I can remember. I can integrate tham in case they are made by anybody.

Afaik the JA37 is part of 4.33, which will be available soon enough, I hope. The main files for an AJS37 are available too, but not in 4.33. Draken versions have to be made.

I’m glad Molni dropped in. I meant to post earlier that I think we should use Molni’s DB as a base for any campaign stuff. He put so much work into making a dedicated 80’s DB that it seems silly to not capitalize on it.

In case of request I can integrate more stuff, are still placeholder and garbage DB entries which can be recycled. As I can remember even a placeholder Viggen 3D model in DB I just did not wanted to play it, the Eurowar campign could live without Viggen. I also changed ships which would be useful in this theater.

Yes Tom, monsters terraineditor is slow for hand tiling. It is great in modterrain mode and for 3D realtime tweaks tho.
For handtiling, it is faster to use old Terrainview (u can drag and drop textures inside segment), but u will need 256col. PCX texture version.For coasts highfix, the best way is to use CATE. U can export BMP image of the sea. Edit this image in graphic editor. U must enlarge sea area according your Falcon mesh tessalation (diagonals). U can load that image into CATE and set height 0 for whole area. U will have pretty coastlines in 10 seconds.
