Wow… What a pain.

Go into the config screen in BMS. Load the key file you want (or leave it as it is on the default key file).
Locate the item you want to assign to a button on your hotas. For example, search for tms up. Click on that line so it changes color. Now you can either hit a key on your keyboard, or you can just press tms up on your stick. That way the keyboard key or your joystick switch (dx) will be assigned to that bms callback. -
Ok I’ve tried that but then the dogfight cancel isn’t able to work since it’s not a button but lack of the others.

In your config file you can set auto cancel dogfight/mrm mode to 1 (yes). As it works in the real jet.
So you bind DX of MRM & DGFT to the callbacks in the UI, and when you switch out of that (to center position), it will cancel that mode, as it should be. Pilots in the real viper don’t have a separate button either for that. -
What about Centre TrackIR?
-
Which config file are you speaking of? Where is it located? And also how to I get my cursor axis to start working?
-
What about Centre TrackIR?
There is no center trackir on the real jet, so don’t expect a button on your hotas for it.
And you can use the pinky shift to shift all DX numbers so you can have additional functions behind every DX button/switch when the pinky switch is hold together with it.

set g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel 1 in falconbms.cfg;
you could also find that by using the search function on this forum.

Make sure in cougar hotas control panel your mouse axis are set in the toebrake column. Go in BMS, cog the the setup UI, click advanced, go to avionics, go to x & y axis and select the cougar toe brakes.
I’m not behind my game pc at the moment but if I recall correctly, some folder of the Dunk profile of Kolbe profile also has some screnshots of that.
EDIT: actually; the screenshots are posted by Hoover as his first reply here…

Config file is here: <bms installation=“” dir=“”>/User/Config/Falcon BMS.cfg
Look for a line like this:
set g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel 1 // set to 1 = SRM and MRM override callbacks will call the override cancel callback for youTo get the cursor microstick working, check the pics I posted above.

I have no issues whatsoever actually. I use pinky shift + trim hat right for centre trackir.
Keyboard F12RecenterTrackIR -1 0 0X58 0 0 0 1 "SIM: TrackIR Recenter"
DX shift
SimHotasPinkyShift 34 -1 -2 0 0x0 0 SimHotasPinkyShift 290 -1 -2 0 0x0 0 RecenterTrackIR 2 -1 -3 2 0x0 0

….
Also is there a way to ditch the stick and convert the throttle to a USB so I can use the warthog stick and change out the throttles when I’m playing different games?

Indeed, I have that and very pleased with it.

Ive tried to open the CCP but nothing happens.

Ive tried to open the CCP but nothing happens.
We’ll need more details to be able to help.
What OS (windows 7, 64 bit?) for example.
Do you get an error message or just nothing (“STTubeDevice203.dll missing” is a well known error for example).
EDIT: another forum search brings us to this very good pdf on several issue fixes for cougar on windows 7 64 bit for example. I followed that one and everything works fine: http://falcon.blu3wolf.com/Docs/CubpilotHOTAS.pdf (it takes a while to load) -
I’m actually running windows 8 if that matters

As far as I know you can follow the same advice/fixes as for W7-64bit.
At least according to this thread: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?18329-Windows-8-1-64 -
Or go to your \Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Joystick\Cougar\Dunc_DX folder and read the README there. Everything you need to do to get your Cougar set up is explained there and so are the files.

Ok guys im really at a loss. I have done all of this, CCP is now responding and shows all the axis. BUT when I enter the BMS or DCS no axis shows up. I have the microstick set as 7 and 8.

That could be the prob then. I’m using shift F1 for keyboard in TrackIR for the TrackIR Recenter command. Yassy’s profile. I was trying to tie that to pinky shift + trim hat down using the same sort of code you’ve got, generated by the DX generator, but I guess it all depends on what target the callback is trying to make.
Thanks, I’ll change to F12 and see if that helps

You have selected the cougar on the main controller page? Does it show up there?
