Dead-Reckoning
-
Hi to all,
We are developing a system that simulates motion of an aircraft. I’m searching for Dead-Reckoning algorithms using below parameters
- Initial Position
- Velocity X, Y, Z
- Acceleration X, Y, Z
- Roll
- Pitch
- Yaw
I checked source code but couldn’t find any code segment. Could you help me finding Dead-Reckoning implementations in Falcon 4.32 BMS Source Code.
Thanks in advance.

If you have access to the 4.32 source code, you would be better posting in the dev forum.
Otherwise given accelerations aligned with the cartesian plane you can use newtons Equations of Motion to calculate the position of a body at any point in time after its initial position and initial velocity are defined.
I believe the interesting part is getting accelerations in X, Y and Z coordinates.

I checked the source code that i have downloaded and saw that is FFViper(Free Falcon Viper). Sorry for the misinformation.
I still searching for dead-reckoning code.

Not sure exactly what you’re looking for, but this might help.

Thanks for your attention. I checked the page but it is not what i’m searching

Are you going to use it in falcon or another application?

I will use it in another application

Correct me if I’m wrong but then I’m assuming you need INS algos to get positional data from a vehicle. If so, then there’s an open source code for that
-
DR code was coded by and for BMS. You wont find it in any other flavor.
BMS source is not public

i have a periodic data(Position, Attitude, Velocity, Accelerations) which is low refresh rate (ex 1 Hz). I need data in 10 Hz, I want to fill the gaps with this algorithm.

Relax. I don’t think he wants DR code of or for BMS.

What board are you using or intending to use?

I will use it on desktop linux machine, x86 platform.

Have been busy with rl stuff lately sorry. Look into the github repositories for a project called openPilot. There’s the code you need for ins etc
