Hi,
New version released.
Like almost every month, a new update with some fixes and small updates.
And as always, thanks for all the bug-reports and comments. For the changelog check here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?5293-Weapon-Delivery-Planner&p=66013#post66013
One item that is being added and is more or less still WIP is the weather reporting.
Here you have an example of the WX list with actual and forcasted weather. If you save the datacard, this list of weather is also added to the package.
Enjoy,
Falcas

Just installed it but can’t get it to work. Previous versions worked fine.
I get an error sayin “field not found: flightplan.Arrive”.
If I continu, it says it can’t find BMS. If I go to settings and point to the launcher.exe and theater definition list, it won’t load the DB location and weather file in the settings.
If hit apply anyway and try to open a mission, it says “no DB found”. If I ignore it and try to open call sign.ini it won’t load it, same for mission file. -
-
I have successfully installed WDP 3.6.5.14 on a PC networked to my Falcon 4 PC. The networked PC with WDP does not have BMS installed on it. I have done this with older WDP versions in order to load my Callsign.ini file for campaign missions from the networked PC. I can not now load the WDP program, because the initial screen asks for my callsign, which it can not then find on the networked PC. The callsign text box will not accept the path to the Falcon BMS PC Callsign.ini file nor allow the program to load without a valid callsign found on the networked PC. Is there a way to overcome this impediment and get to the program where I can direct WDP to the correct .ini file and Falcon BMS Launcher file??
I have the same situation. With version 3.6.3 I am able to manually edit the setup file for the path of the Falcon install. That is the last version I am able to do that. Newer versions don’t seem to allow me to use the network path.

I have a blank weather briefing card overlayed over the top of my briefing page in WDP. Its actually preventing me from seeing part of the (admittedly also blank) briefing page.

I can’t reporduce this.
Just to make sure, this is happening during the first startup?
Do you get a .NET debug message? (just-in-time (JIT) debugging).
If so, can you click on “details” and copy past the first 10-20 lines. Thanks,

Need to look at this, so hang on.

You are using a larger screen setup in WDP?
Sorry, didn’t have enough time to correctly do this for larger screens. Need to go to work.
But that will come very soon.Gr Falcas

Hi Focaldesign,
Great, that is what I was looking for.
Check your PM in a short time.

I have a blank weather briefing card.
Just as some extra info, the WX briefing only gets filled when you have loaded a mission which has the WX saved as deterministic.

question: what’s WDP like?
EDIT: pardon the dumb question.
-
Hi falcas,
Try ur new udpdate but again the same thing when i run WDP the load stop at the two third without opening then vista ask to wait a response of WDp or to close it:
I notice that if i go in the icon and try to select an different size of window the WDP page open and close quickly. It seems to be a problem of resolution but i didn’t find a solution Yet. I think i have respect all the condition for a good installation. An idea or a feedback of this kind of problem?
Thanks for ur help.

question: what’s WDP like?
EDIT: pardon the dumb question.
It’s a text-graphical utility that reads the pilot data cartridge file and mission files to produce briefing, planning, and DTC editing capabilities. It’s 10-20 pages of text and graphics that assists in mission planning, airplane performance evaluation, and a nicer interface for editing the DTC (text) file. If you’ve ever used a sophisticated Excel spreadsheet it’s kind of like that but more capable.

And if it could read my loadout in the mission Im trying to setup, I am discovering just HOW much time it saves in calculating performance and fuel planning…
-
I seem to be having some disagreements between the current version of WDP 3.6.8.49, and BMS, with regards to calculating performance.
I have a loadout saved, as 5xAIM-120Cs, and 1xAIM-9X. According to BMS, this gives a drag index of 33.0 - however WDP thinks this should be a drag index of 61 instead.
Similarly, BMS thinks my engine cold GW is 29,320 lbs, whilst WDP feels it should instead be 29,960 lbs. BMS thinks the stores weight is 2,258 lbs, WDP thinks it is closer to 2,898 lbs instead (the dash wants the split the difference, with 2,596lbs stores weight and DI 49, but I dont think thats really an issue with WDP - more on BMS’ end).
This adds up to me not 100% trusting WDP’s takeoff performance calculator - as its not using the same data I am. Even if it was, I cant see how to calculate takeoff performance in WDP with the assumption that some fuel is burnt on the ground - I cannot appear to change the amount of fuel the performance calculator uses.
