Weather change in Campaign?

Depends where you are in korea
Looks like wheater system is updated in next version
I hope that we get least teaser video when relase is near , but no hurry. My 8-month old girl gets 99% of my freetime so my āfalcon timeā is low

Each time you restart BMS, the ācounterā is reseted because the counter is not saved in the wx file (i need to improve that point )
Check this spot in 3-4 weeks
Yes weather is supposed to change in 3 to 4 weeks

(Early Automatic RL Weather Feed to BMS Weather Proof of Conceptā¦)
Original threadā¦ http://falcon-online.org/forum/index.php?topic=1531
interesting for proof of conceptā¦will maybe useless unfortunatly ā¦
BUT ā¦ that could be used as a good start for another external programm that we need
-
yeapā¦
first let me say WOWā¦ respectā¦
Secondā¦ could this wonderful tool after 3-4 weeks with new weather gizmos and stuff and after itās updated to implement new features have 3 little minor easy to do things?
1. run in server and update clients weather also.
2. have 1-3 weather sites and grab online weather data and have common params injected to falcon with a reasonable time schedule update
3. Create a weather change profile with as many steps as one likes and then the program inject them to falcon based on the time schedule created?Aphex I know u can do it and even more then this. I hope u have the time and willing to do soā¦
@Mav-JP will the new one be able if changes are made in the server to auto change clients weather also?

For your information the weather is shared with clients in 4.32
If weather changes on the server , the clients are updated
I donāt know why you believe it doesnt

1. run in server and update clients weather also.
Early testing showed that changing the server weather was mirrored on clients. I briefly tested this with the main weather types (sunny/fair/inclement/poor) and they were in-fact immediately changed on the clients end also. I have not yet tested if fog distances etcā¦ are mirrored but the assumption is that it is
2. have 1-3 weather sites and grab online weather data and have common params injected to falcon with a reasonable time schedule update
Itās already been coded into the application. It polls from a weather data feed with a resolution of 1h (24 slots per day history). It then reads the BMS campaign timer (campaign clock) and selects the appropriate hour slot from the history array. The weather is synced to the BMS campaign timer/day/hour to follow RL values. When the BMS timer changes hour it changes the weather lookup index.
3. Create a weather change profile with as many steps as one likes and then the program inject them to falcon based on the time schedule created?
It wouldnāt be hard to externalize a file where a user can define all values in any desired interval (eg. ini file). That being said, Iām creating an entire GUI for it with āprofilesā so this functionality is/was planned to be completely operable within a GUI. No need to notepad it.
Aphex I know u can do it and even more then this. I hope u have the time and willing to do soā¦
Thanks.

are you accustomed to GRIB files format ?

are you accustomed to GRIB files format ?
Parsing a specific syntax isnāt a problemā¦ Iāve looked at the format but I would have to know about itās implementation before I can properly answer that question.
wow:
GRIB is overkill considering 4.32 weather implementation. That being said, I guess BMS will be implementing zone based weather instead of 1 global setting if GRIB is being considered. I donāt use GRIB for my specific app as I found a much simpler service which satisfies 4.32 requirements. If zone based weather is being implemented, then it would be worth the look.
-
Well sure is overkill and in those links talks about even 21 zones.
-
Has anybody managed to convert a GRIB to fmap for bms 4.33 yet? or better yet any realtime weather?
-
yes. we did that while testing
Lots of work but doable. Just have to get your hands dirty and go for it.
