I Hawk methinks you give far too much credit to Ara’s perceptive abilities and context. You know what sake can do to over the hill rockers especially when their meds wear off lol!

E.t.c. E.t.c. E.t.c. E.t.c….
“What’s my point”…?
I think that my points were quite explicit.
It was about personal choice, and the respect implicit in freedom.“Choice”. “Respect”; the accompanying “Trust”. These are ideals which should be present in any community. Virtual or otherwise.
Did you find some “implicit” meaning in my post…? Really…?
That’s very much up to the varying perceptions of the individual reader.
(It’s how a writer [as opposed to somebody who just jots down words] writes.)A “play on words”…? Surely not…? Is Aragorn THAT clever…?!
The: “I don’t think you ever did, really,” was kinda’ funny. That got a chuckle.
Most UTARs have no understanding that “A chuckel” is worth more than all the sims on Earth.
So - for that I will give your post a “Thanks”.(P.S. There was more than ONE ego-maniac at FF…! I can think of at least two, and a third is knocking at the door…!)
Excuse me now. I have a GIG in about two hours, and I have a MIRROR to be in front of…!
pr0n
P.S. No hard feelings, Yoni. Should I say it AGAIN publicly…? BMS is a fuucking AWESOME sim. I am amazed what has been done with this thing.

the same way Crazy tom is allowed to post blurred images, the same way anyone can ask why those images are blurry
So stop this - it’s nonsenseI for one am annoyed with those blurry picture. read again, I said annoyed, not offended
What’s worng with voicing an opinion.on some aircraft photography pictures, the images have to reach a certain level to be published
it’s obviously NOT the case here, so nothing prevents anyone to post blurred pictures
Personnally I find them pointless and annoying. But I just don’t look at them.Although I do look at that which is an awesome shot (IMHO):
Remember, opinons are like a**hole: we all have one !!

Well, pointless discussion here as far as I’m concerned.
Anyway thanks Gorn…I for one stick to posting (screens) at SAS, where sure they fit the setup and sim. And once a month or so here, since I fly BMS as well.Cheers, carry on, and btw release 4.33…:D

I tried vanilla BMS with Nvidias Dynamic Super Resolution set to 4K, downsampled to 1080p. No external AA or any other gfx mod added. Super impressed with the results and the jaggies seem non existent ingame (The uploaded images here don’t do the original screenshots justice…)
You need a super powerful gfx card to get it running well like a GTX980, minimum

Very impressive Shadowblade, funny thing is I was just about to mention after reading the blurred images comments if anyone had tried downsampling, seems on the way to be becoming the norm these days to the point some screenshot threads on ‘trendy’:D gaming sites are almost all downsampled, haven’t tried it yet myself but I was thinking about it, hows the performance with BMS and other stuff you tried it with?

I like your landings, with or without IFR charts by N#kos…
Hey, airstrips weren’t for p……? Not published IAPs for them, if i remembered correct.
Nikos.Sometimes I must use the Force Nykos

It’s very jerky, at times it can dip to as low as 2fps and becomes unplayable. The controls are funny too. It’s hard to describe but if you want to move your aircraft, you need to hold the direction on the joystick for each successive frame drawn onscreen rather than move the joystick independently, say nudge it momentarily in the direction you want to go and wait for the computer to catch up to draw that frame. Don’t think about ramp starting, ha. Higher altitudes it picks up framerate a bit. At lower resolutions closer to 1080p it’s faster but the visual fidelity goes down so it might as well go to 1080p with AA instead. Older games like Resident Evil 5 or Half-life 2 etc gave around 20-30fps. KSP didn’t like it, went CTD. I tried Arma 3, the PC was about to have a meltdown. Suffice to say it looked amazing. Apparently the 900 series are made to specifically handle the higher resolutions and downsampling easier. I have 500 series card
I forgot to add, the only mod with the game was Nuno’s clouds
For a laugh, here’s BMS at 640x480. The pit in unreadable, but it still looks amazing

Hmmm, I’d have no chance with this, I’ve got a Radeon 7770 and although there is a device for doing it with AMD cards, mine 'aint good enough, although instead of cranking it up to 4k I was only thinking of going to something like 2650 x 1440 but if it’s not really noticeable in terms of sharpness and quality there’s no point, I think most people seem to be doing it just for screenshot purposes now and again they don’t actually play a whole game at that res unless they’ve got a specific new range card that you mentioned.

You’re right Slains. But give it a try. I think the downsampling post processing effect is what kills any chance of smooth frames for now (it’s new to lower endcards so most likely not optimized yet, i’m sure they could squeeze a few extra fps) not the actual rendering at 4K. BMS at 4K with a UHD monitor (no downsampling needed) would be unreal
