RealWeather tool
-
Hello All,
I’ve updated the first post with an updated screenshot of the RealWeather tool.
I have been very busy (really a lot of time went into this) to get this far and still need a lot to do.
The ‘distance’ values you see are based on Tom’s recommended values for now and the sliders react based on these values.
But I want to add more modes to be selectable (like BMS settings for example).Hope you like the concept.

Hi ASharpe,
First I would like to be able to get and set some values manually. Also to test if it is at all possible.
After that getting ‘external’ data and importing these values is just using these functions. -
Hi All,
First post updated with latest UI changes included.
This software is for personal proof of concept reasons and public release is not planned, because of needed support when released and during development I noticed other better weather tools being developed.
Also in 3-4 weeks Falcon time, BMS weather handling and files could be entirely different from now making this tool obsolete, don’t know.Cheers Obi

I picked up my personal project again lately, I want it to be compatible again with the latest BMS 4.33.2 files and its new features.
Also did not want all my time spend on it in the past be for nothing.
Still much work to do on it, but I’m excited by the progress I could make on it again.Just a WIP picture to show its latest form.

Hi Obi1 :-).
I wish you a very happy XMas and happy New Year.
Your new pictures you’ve posted are looking very promising; this tool would be v e r y cool and a MUST HAVE for all Falconiers. It must be tons of work creating something like this; thank you so much for you big big effort, even on christmas.
Cheers to all of you

Hi Udet,
I wish you, and all other Falcon enthusiasts also a Merry Christmas !
Yes, you are so right, it has been a very long and tough road, mainly because everything I needed to know had to be, and has been found out by reverse engineering.
Only found out some days ago that there were actually links with info on these files.
Could have saved me 3-4 times 3-4 Falcon weeks;-)
Ah well, still very happy because I learned so much out of it and the RealWeather tool programming has become a welcome alternative between flights.
A hobby I can do when Falcon days are slow, and I can just implement stuff that suddenly pop up as cool ideas that could also be added.Cheers Obi1.

Hi,
Its been a long time and progress hard and slow because of real life and because flying BMS itself takes away a lot of time:D
A work in progress picture. Working on some ideas for weather forecast style info.
So many things still to finish and great ideas still to implement some day.Cheers Obi1
