About ai wingman
-
What is your steerpoint/flightpath altitude (set in the 2D map)?
-
I use AI wingmen in SP, but I tend to forgo them in MP due to some issues we have with them.
Try res cell formation if available and close up order. Get 'em in nice and tight like this? Do they still fly higher? What about a go lower command?
-
pretty sure i have tried super tight( not specific ) formation and i’ll be in the weeds and they will be 500 ft higher so i didn’t know if they had certain editable allowances so we can all sneak in undetected.
@ agave
i also think i have set steers to 50 ft all the way and this still occurs…just havn’t gotten around to inquiring about it…
-
I rarely fly low so didn’t know if any of that would work, just a few things to try.
-
Unless there was an update when BMS implemented better TFR, I’m fairly certain AI will never cruise below 1000ft AGL. The reason is simply to avoid an AI doing a CFIT.
-
All the AI have a terrain-avoidance feature that makes super low flight impossible.
-
nothing to be done about it then i guess…copy that…thanks all

AI wingman question: is your wingman(s) suffering from their drag index?
ex: if I drop all my bombs, but not my wingman, and I go faster than the loaded top speed, what would it do?
would it follow me without damage?
would it follow me but with damage?
or would it stops at his max airspeed?thx

cant find anything on this but would guess since its ai it knows better… not sure but if not then does that stop them from attacking due to degraded or failed stations from over stressing the jet? good question
