Below you can find a small update for Ikaros v4.1.0. The update will patch the theater to v4.1.1

This fix addresses issues with CTDs which was periodically reported around Souda and Nea Anchialos airbases. Also, it addresses other bugs as well.

You need to have installed Ikaros v4.1.0 before applying this fix.

To install it, simply unrar the file and copy the Add-on Ikaros to C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data

All TEs which were made in v4.1.0 are compatible with v4.1.1

I just tried my custom TE (“kritiki elpida” in this case) and I’m still seeing vehicles drive all over the runway & airbase at Souda. I guess this problem wasn’t fixed in this update?

Also, an AI-F-16 was rather confused about lining up on the RW for takeoff and just drove in circles endlessly (thankfully none of the vehicles hit us this time :D).

Thanks for the update & keep up the good work,

        Uwe

Well on the side and back looks like they have the red fire hazard sticker which is for the fuel truck on the left side and back right side.
This must be a new fuel truck as the base one is different.
Looks strange to have 3 fuel trucks traveling there.

According to Duke he was successful in removing the vehicles travelling across the base by relocating the Arty (hehe 😉 btn from Souda Naval Base to another village called “Kounoupidiana Town”. Maybe Souda Naval base and the airbase are not properly linked? I haven’t tried this myself yet though. He used mission commander to move the btn.

                  All the best, Uwe

                      Hi Guys

I’ve attached a picture showing the links. Souda NATO Naval Base doesn’t seem to be directly linked to Souda airbase. The NATO Naval Base is linked to Sternes Village which then links to the Souda (non NATO) Naval Base and the airbase.

I tried moving Hoover’s air defence unit at the SAM site north of the airbase first (using MC). Still stuff crossing the runway so I put it back to the SAM site again. I then moved the SP Guns (again using MC) to the town Hoover mentioned and tried a couple of Hoover’s TE flights. No vehicles crossing the runway after that. In the campaign we’ve designed, based on Hoover’s TE, I also placed a load of units at the NATO Naval Base (using MC) with orders to defend Heraklion City. I never saw them running around the airbase.

Looking a Hoover’s TE again, I’ve noticed that units are given waypoints (with the RouteAction set to NOTHING in the case of the SP guns). I think Hoover used the TE Editor to create them. I used the MC “Place Battalion at Objective” option in the campaign which doesn’t seem to generate any waypoints. Maybe having any waypoints set causes units to do something, and maybe this is what’s causing them to run around the airbase? It’s the complete opposite of what I’ve experienced with the ships tbh. I set up a task force in the campaign (using MC), don’t assign any waypoints to it and it seems to move around in what looks like a pre-determined pattern.

Just observations really but hope it helps those in the know to point us in the right direction.

                      Cheers

                            True, Cougar.

It just happens so to me too. Would the devs. kindly explain why and how to fix it?

                            Thanks a lot in advance!

Just installing 4.1.1 doesn’t show in UI as 4.1.1 but 4.1.0.

U must run the Ikaros Settings.exe (f4patch for the old guys) which is located at:
                              C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros 4.1.1

                              Select in the Database subtree:
                              Campaign Poseidon
                              or
                              Operational / Tactical Engagement Database

                              and apply.

Then u r fully installed and it will show as 4.1.1 in the UI.
