"EXPEDITE DEPARTURE" Before I even get to step 20 of After Engine Start checklist.

I wouldn’t say mandatory, preferred is maybe a better word.
And all depends on who your flying with.Just you and a buddy; make your own rules.

With default values not only will ATC expect you to takeoff at the given time but you will be ripped out of the game some time after scheduled takeoff if you stay on the ground (I think T+20 min). I think we’ve all come up against it when we’re starting out reading the procedures book in cockpit like it was written in Swahili. It looks like BMS’s changes to ATC flow is not compatible with the piecemeal request structure of Falcon AF and 4.0.
With moderate experience most players have to exercise (or not ) discipline to wait 20 whole minutes for departure process. Ready for taxi in the T-20 to T-10 interval is typical. Taxi at T-4 to T-6 is normal. It won’t be long before you’re back here asking how to shorten it to less than 20.

Secondly, so it is possible to follow the whole Checklists, with all of the tests in Ramp and before takeoff without having the tower to tell you to expedite?
Of course it is possible, even wit spare time. (knowing the checlist by heart will makes you way faster)

I’m well aware I’m not the fastest in doing everything, but by rough estimations of how much time one would take to read a text line and do as instructed, without having to repeat any of the steps or re-reading anything, still, it didn’t seem like 16 minutes would be enough.Perform a check, then refer to the checklist to confirm you hit everything. If you are hitting two switches a second, it doesnt take long to get through the list. I cant really compare on the reading speed thing, Im a fast reader so I dont know what others experience is like.
Probably the take away is that, there is a difference between learning (the checklist being instruction) and practicing (the checklist being a checklist). When you know what the instruction means, its quick. When you have to stop and hunt for switches, and refer to the checklist for every other step, its anything but quick.

Hi Archer,
I recently recorded a little video clip using a very simple ramp start procedure that should get you rolling in under six minutes.
Naturally it omits most of the tests that add to the “immersion”, but you can also add those later on once you’re more familiar with the basic stuff you need set up for getting a good jet.
Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll provide a download link (not exaclty comfy with having myself out there in person on the intarwebs :D)
All the best, Uwe
