Meaning of each command ?
-
Hi guys
Sorry if this has been discussed b4 but didnt find anything online : where can i find a specific purpose of each key command of the sim ?
I want to know what dms down does , or DMS left and so on means and dont find it anywhere
Is there an explanation for each command anywhere ?
Thanks -
DMS, CMS, TMS, et al are explained very well in the BMS Manual, Training Manual, Dash 1 and Dash 34.
In the installation directory is a folder called Docs - you really wanna check it out - veritable goldmine of information.
As an example, try pages 55 and 56 of the Dash 1 manual.

Here is another hint
TMS ! Target Management Switch
DMS: Display management switch
CMS: Countermeasure management switch -

In the key file BMS FULL, most commands have a short description on the end of the line in " " .
That doesn’t necessarily help with acronyms, nor is there enough space there to fully describe multi-function/mode dependent commands. However, if is useful as a basic description in many cases.

Well, I’m a idiot.
I’ve got that engine info on. Guess I’ve just blocked it from my mind.
There are two possible options …. both toggle options:
1.) PrettyFilm -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “SIM: Pretty Filming (Hide Overlays)” … Set a key for this and it will hide ALL overlays. Radio messages, chat-text … everything, and,
2.) OTWToggleEngineDisplay -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “SIM: Engine Display Toggle” … as noted earlier, set a key for this and it should toggle only the engine display.
Both of those lines are in the key file (but may not exist in ALL key files). They are in the BMS FULL keyfile for sure. The “0XFFFFFFFF” means no key assigned … which is how I have them set in my keyfile, which is where I plucked these lines from.
