I can not enter RAMP
-
Greetings to the community
I am playing Falcon 4.0 Allied Force and have an issue. I can not enter the ramp. I am clicking on the field where the ramp is but nothing happens. I have to do the training mission with the name “Take off”. I can click on “take off” and “taxi”
Maybe I do need to access.config file because I have reinstall the game today. Maybe the solution is not that one.
If someone knows the solution please help me. -
Hey samuraj,
Perhaps the training mission is designed so that you can only choose “taxi” or “takeoff”. Maybe it’s because of “AF” …
Have you ever tested in BMS?BTW: Is there no training mission “Rampstart”? It should work.

If the takeoff time is less than 20 minutes from the current game clock, it won’t let you ramp start. For training, I recommend focusing on what the learning objectives are for each hop, rather than doing every thing every time. This will get you up to speed faster, but mean you spend less time doing bread-and-butter things. On the other hand, maybe this is why my overhead breaks are such a mess…

I am playing Falcon 4.0 Allied Force and have an issue
so that’s not a question relevant to BMS correct?
some ‘BMS’ training mission starts in flight, hence you can’t get to ramp. that’s very logical and made on purpose to get the user straight to the point of the training purpose
so it is certainly the same in allied forces. -

Thank you all for answering to me, MorteSil , I am going to read now your big post…
Actually I solved the issue, the issue was a patch which had to be installed, now everything goes smoothly…
I am expierincing now another problem, the button (the large one) for the HUD on D part (with D is marked part insiede of the plane in the manual) of the insade of the plane/jet does not work (before that I had an issue with JFS button) It seems like some operations wont work because of the time when I press the buttons. So, it seems like everything has to be done in the time like in the real jet…
I will play BMS but my machine is too weak for the game, now I have to learn everything with Falcon AF
Thanks.

If you are pressing buttons with the mouse, some use left click and some use right click.
If I remember correctly, been a long time since AF was on my rig…. -
oh, so that is the catch …I did not know, thank you Badger.
Maybe those big buttons which one have to roll are one that I need to activate by pressing right click.
-
I figured out that about JFS button, one should not roll the button for the throttle (you should not press +) it should be on 0… (just enter the trainning mission with the 0 on your joystick button for the throttle)
Once you touch down and hear the tires screech on the runway, gently pull the gun cross up above the 10° pitch line on the HUD to aero brake the aircraft. (from the manual)
How should I know how much degreees have I pulled the gun cross above the pitch line? (Maybe I do not understand this because of my bad English) Where it is written whether I pulled the gun cross 10 or 11 or 15 degrees?

Hi,
I have a few questions. At the moment I am not able to install Falcon BMS because my laptop is too weak, but I have installed Falcon 4.0 Allied Force. Can I learn manual for Falcon 4.0 Allied Force and later be able to fly in BMS?
And I need to know how many years it could take in order to learn to fly in this simulator, learning a few hours a day, let’s say 3 hours, is it enough? -
-
not really
-
too many variables to answer this. I’ve been flying BMS since 2012, and I learn something new every day. It’s what makes it a quintessential study sim

That’s it. Takeoff… flying around landing and maybe shoot some AA missiles is quite near in AF and BMS.
But 3 hours is’t even enought to read all BMS documents. Those are quite handy cause in AF most of your plane systems are modeled much more simpler and are automaticly set up correctly. In BMS you must set them your self. -
Remove all shaders in the BMS config you should get very similar performance under bms and Af
