Looks like great work guys! Also, please try not to drop napalms on my rice fields
-
Ah, so?
With best regards,
So using an A-10 cockpit to fly the F-105 may not be a great idea as it would prevent you from using the radar!
-
Hanoi we got a problem

True that.
So, what to do in alternative, I wonder…

We can use either a10 or f4 pit…
A10 pit can use radar if plane is given radar. Just has the one screen though…
Current latest vietnam theater has a10 pit in both 105s. With correct wingviews, it looks pretty good.
And they have radar , i didnt get to check closely , but they are both set to work at least to some extent

the last flight I took in the A-10 it did have radar, year and model probably has something to do with it, I had a brain fart with the A-7 else where putting the A-10 pit in the later models of the A-7 and the F-4 in the earlier, I have the A-4 with the F-4 pit and it feels right for the era until pits are made for now they are nice stand ins

Well I did it, I put the A-10 in the A-7E to change things up even sliced the wing view off, now if we can get the wing view model number for the A-7E , I’d see what that looks like.

I’ve done it and it looks great, make sure you deactivate wing view , radar works, weapons release seemed sluggish I’ll take it up again and give a better review, this is the parent folder number F-105D 1529 F105 make a new folder in cockpit folder copy a-10 contents and paste in your renamed 1529 folder and you are done.

Flew a sortie bombs hit where I aimed ccip zero angle, landed, real stable on landing 165 kts no speed brake till I got over the threshold, we got a winner

Dear yubba,
I’m sorry for bothering you, but after I did exactly what you suggested, I’m still without any kind of cockpit when I’m in a Thud - just as always was, I mean.
Any other suggestion, please?
(@starrats: how weird that, isn’t it? Just hoping it’s not my installation, bro.)

With best regards,
No bother at all, go C:\Falcon BMS 4.32 or 4.33\Data\Art\ckptart go inside ckptart make a new folder ,{F-105D =1529}, rename folder 1529 , I used the a-10 files in the folder marked A-10 , I am flying 4.32 what works for me might not for you, if you can’t get A-10 to work the F-4 pit will work too that folder should be name 696, Starrat taught me how to swap these out, I changed out the f-22 which for me didn’t have a pit, I put a f-16 pit in it and kept the f-22 wings and fuselage it look’s great you look out over the wing you see a f-22 wing. more than happy to help when I can, a-4s, a-7s and the Crusader have had the F-4 pit put in them and they look great, I’ll be happy to post parent numbers if wanted.

Dear yubba,
thanks for your quick reply, as first.
Well, I’m using the 4.33 version, and I learned that more than sometimes what worked fine in 4.32 can’t be useful in the recent one, especially speaking of graphic matters.
I will do more tries, something I will be able to figure out. With best regards,

You did copy and paste the A-10 files, If you cut them out of the parent file of the a-10 it will not show. I couldn’t remember if I said copy contents, silly me.
-
Please don’t be worried for anything.
Even in case you forgot to mention, that just was what I already knew I had to do ;).
So I did it.With best regards,

Did you make any head way ???

(@starrats: how weird that, isn’t it? Just hoping it’s not my installation, bro.)
well… if you are trying to change pit in BMS Vnam mod, it has its own pits…
not this address4.33\Data\Art\ckptart
but this…
C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Vietnam\Art\ckptart
then do the same thing , put a10 files in a folder named 1529(thud) -
Thanks, Ned.
This yours is a confirmation, then.
But, believe me or not, so I just did all the times I attempted to, as follows.
Step #1: going to that precise folder you pointed out; step #2: creating a new ‘1529’ empty folder; step#3: going to the a10 folder in the same root; step#4: copying those two files I found there; step#5: installing them both in that ‘1529’ folder mentioned above.
Step#6: going Vietnam theater and flying a custom made TE just to make some great mess here and there around with the Thug.
And, taa-daa: entering in the cockpit and seeing n-o-t-h-i-n-g. At all.I’m going back taking my trusted 0.10 double barrelled lupara gun with me this time. :dhorse:
With best regards,
-
I know what the problem is, In the Vietnam era they didn’t have a10s so the textures might not be loaded , go and do a TE mission in Vietnam theater put an A10 in and see what you get, then you’ll know what you have to do. I flew the F-105D in the old aircraft theater in a campaign and finally completed a mission with out getting blown out of the sky as soon as I crossed the DMZ though I was to low for the M-117s to arm I made it to the bridge dumped the load and made it back to base all in a f-105d with the a10 pit except for the droopey speed brake I say it was a success

Hhmmm… ah, so?
I’ll try doing as you suggested to. Thanks for the hint.
But I’ll take my pal above with me anyway. With best regards,
