Yes, it would look good in Vietnam. I also need better F-4F skins. The ones I am using aren’t even USAF/USN, but they look the part in Vietnam as long as you don’t look too close.

“F-4F” skins? Isn’t an F-4F a Luftwaffen Phantom? How would this be relevant to Vietnam? Btw, where in SW WA? Gig Harbor native, here…

Current model has the ability to be used as an US F-4E (see balkans) with proper skins

Parislord, what Manos said, plus the F-4F has an ordinance load very close to the Vietnam era Phantoms. SW Washington, just north of Vancouver, WA in Clark County, WA.

The original F-4F is indeed very similar to the F-4E, though it was actually less capable -being a cheaper export version of the F-4E designed exclusively for the West German Luftwaffe.
It was not able to carry the AIM-7 Sparrow and used a simplified AN/APQ-120 radar that could not provide the continuous wave guidance required for the Sparrow and also could not carry nuclear weapons or deploy air to ground missiles such as the AGM-65, AGM-45 and AGM-62.
(All of which were, of course, capabilities of the USAF F-4E).During the early 1990s, the F-4F underwent the ICE program (Phase I and Phase II) to bring it up to (more) modern standards including the fitting of the APG-65 radar (from the F/A-18A/B Hornet) and being made AIM-120 AMRAAM capable.
So depending on which version of the F-4F you pick, the original or the ICE-II variant, you either end up with a lesser capable “F-4E” or a far superior “F-4E”

Anyway the current model in the DB can be used as an E as i said its ready to get USAF skins now if you want the real capabilities of the E as far as the loadout u can edit its loadout in the editor right? And use the ROKAF E dat file (therefore i dont think they do have the same flying characteristics as far as the AC.dat)
