Is anyone else getting a CTD when trying to view the loadout screen or go into the 3D world? Also I noticed the UI is extremely slow to respond when clicking on buttons.

I also confirm that the sim “freezes” (not CTD) when try to view loadout screen and try to enter 3D world in both Campaigns…:(:(
Only in TE im able to enter cockpit after waiting for a few minutes (seems 4ever)
Not sure what is the problem but never encountered such problems using the previous EMF version in 4 32 with exactly the same rig.
So it is obvious that the problem is not caused because the big size of the theater…
Hope this problem is solved soon in order to enjoy EMF… -

You should not experience ctd when viewing the loadout. About the tac ctd, plz see the TE Creation.pdf located in add-on emf/docs. This is a stop gap solution until a permanent fix.
About the delay in loading .tac and missions, this is normal due to the fact that the theater contains more than 6000 objectives. This is even bigger than the 4.32 edition, since Libya is included amongst other things. In my case, i have a ssd and the delay is minimal (2 to 3 secs) -

So it is a “heavier” version that explains… Probably current available resources (8GB RAM) don’t cover anymore the needs of new EMF version (?)
Really bugs me how i will overcome this…
About “freeze” and eventually CTD when viewing the loadout this is really weird. Never encountered similar problem in another theater in the past.
Can’t think of a possible reason…
Cougar post above motivated me to report the same problem… If other users also observe similar results, it will be something interesting to see what is the reason for causing this CTD. -
well I just made a TE and didn’t had a crash on loadout.
Block 30’s
maybe its the block that causes it thus the 3d model?What I found out to disappointment was that:
Only 5 airports to fly from.
same for the add squadron function.and the fact that you cant actually set territories for red and blue in falcon. Trying to paint them has an enormous offset. The mouse pointer is of the map painting area and it paints on the map also when the pointer goes on top the clear all button it doesn’t paint.

That’s because it’s a 128 segment theater!!
At one point Falcas said he was going to fix that……But, looks like that is not happening…ya know, drop of support for anything but 64 segment theaters I would surmise!!!
A shame for sure!!
I also created a TE and didn’t have any crash. Load times are atrocious though, Mystic pointed out the fact that there’s 6K objects, but Baltics has 16K and it loads faster??

Arty in TE no problem… CTD for me (in loadout) occurs only in any of both Campaigns an for any F-16 Block -version.
Please make a test and see if you encounter the same issue… -

No, there are several 128 segment theaters out there and the size of the map is not the issue.
I’m beginning to think that possibly, EMF and Balkans haven’t been converted correctly…I’m not saying or putting the blame on the persons that did the conversion(but you just don’t know), I’m just pointing out that there seems to be issues with the first 2 theaters that were released the same day BMS updated and we’re seeing issues in both. Even seen a few issue in Korea, but IIRC, most of them are user errors?? Don’t have time to scan the forum as the activity is above and beyond any other time in the BMS history!!! LOL

Hello EMF team,
I enjoy very much the theater but there are too many CTD’S.
I followed the steps for the TE creation, but i encounter a lot of CTD’s when i create a flight and i want to check the weapon loadout. Seems to happen randomly. Or if i try to exit the Te creation, i come back to desktop. I try to save as much as possible so that for every CTD i don’t loos too much but it is a bit unstable. Hope there will be a fix for that.
EDIT:
Also, after a CTD when i reenter my TE i created, for some reason my settings are changed. I don’t like to have the background music from Falcon or the interactive noises, but when i reenter my TE the Music plays very loud and when in the TE creation i try to click on SETUP, it CTD’s again. Quiet frustrating since i spend 2 hours on creating a complex TE and now it CTD’s in a row. The procedure you have written in your manual has been followed.
2nd EDIT:
Deleted all the TE’s.
created a new TE, went to Teams, nuked the team map, back to mission editor. I am creating a new TE, placing units, all goes well and all and suddenly the music starts to come up, and when i try to access loadout or any other menu options while in my TE creation i get a CTD. This is happening in a row now.

The size (pixels resolution thus size in MB’s) of the MAP UI is a known issue that has a performance hit when selecting for example to create a TE. Public release of EMF theater includes a more detailed map than the default, that adds some ~10 seconds more than usual to open the mission builder UI. In our internal version with even more detailed map (much higher picture resolution in order to zoom-in more), there is even bigger waiting time, BUT never this produce a CTD, except if the user machine is out of memory;
In order to help us some more id any issues. please post some more details of what you were exactly doing at that point, or upon selecting arming UI. What aircraft version you selected for a mission, mission type, from what base, and if possible include any log files data as found after the CTD on C:\Falcon BMS 4.34\User\Logs

Despite the fact that I have a week 10 years old laptop I am not facing so many cdts, the only issue is that I am waiting way too long to enter the 2d map at all cases.
I have noticed that cdts are caused when I am trying to enter the map at a short time after booting up falcon. The think that I do is after every click to wait a bit before hitting the next click. For example: I am entering the main screen of emf and wait a bit, click Tactical Engagement and wait again and then TE builder and wait about 40 seconds to enter the map, too long but no cdts.May be it’s irrelevant but works for me.

Arty your setup is porked. This picture is not normal and certainty not what you get with EMF. Re-download. 5 airports???
