My PC hangs running Falcon
-
If it is the cause, I am surprised as I have being using it constantly without problems.
This is a new clean 4.34 install, without any mods or other theaters.- The only mod I installed is that of new F18 cocpitPlease try same with a clean installation, no mods at all. Give this a few days and if it proves to be stable, move on from there.
As Quasi mentions earlier, in the User/Logs folder you may see .dmp and .txt files which are date and time named - if your hard resets continue, these might offer Dev an opportunity to assist in finding the problem.

If your PC hangs and then shuts down by itself, it has nothing to do with BMS IMO.
Your PC overheats or some other hardware crashes.
Try to do a benchmark test and see if it crashes, like CINEBENCH or similar, and then report backEDIT : it might be the RAM also or some other component, I saw your first post about underclocking the CPU.

Check power unit
It is very often source of those kind of issues

There more accelerators 8, 32 and 64 AFAIK.
You’ll have to avoid using the time accelerator, maybe someone else might have a clue to solve this, cuz idk what is causing it, anyway try using older/newer graphics drivers, btw do you have the auto update activated on your windows? Maybe it got updated without you knowing.

I shall continue trying without aceleration.-
I have not auto update activated and I am using Win 7, so there are no problems related with that, besides that normally in that case no reset is managed by Windows -

Thanks Flow
That is what I have being thinking about, but as I said before, I tried with other simulators and had no hanging problems.-
About a temp issue, I dont think so, as my CPU temp app showed 70 degrees maximun running BMS , and I could run Flight Simulator X about 4 hours with a maximun of 80 degrees detected, without any problems.-
In BMS case, it hangs either overclocked or underclocked .-
That only leaves a memory problem -
If a hardware component is failing, I wonder if it should appear as a crash event at the event viewer.- In my case, none of the crashes appeared as events.-

You may have to consider a clean win 7 install.

I thought the same as Mav, but if you run other more resource-demanding stuff, that would be weird.

I reset the setup settings to default, so now there is no overclocking at all, and the PC hangs no more at BMS.-
It is strange as BMS is not resource demanding as other sims with which I had no problems. -
