Scoping for Interested Parties

My company carries two massive GPU Dedicated Servers for Linux. The servers are capable of Virtualization thus running a high bandwidth, larger player load for Falcon 4 BMS from my research would be a possibility. I am wondering if this would be of interest to those here. I wouldn’t want to implement the server unless there was reasonable interest in a larger network, as in massive multiplayer network big businesses use. Obviously one virtualized server per campaign and the server runs 24/7, and will be the main host of our finished “Simulated World” game server in Unreal. Just do a reply and state interest. Obviously no money in this, so, would need to vet some administrators and create accounts. Might setup a website thru our domain registrar and take donations towards advancing the Military Combat Simulator we have planned rather then using company profits and hedge funds entirely and possibly towards developing much more in depth flight, vehicle, naval and infantry simulation. I do have access thru some people to the F-22 specs, including recently declassified tech specs. Also complete tech specs for the AH64, Cobra, F/A-18, Mig-35, and being in command and control centers in Iraq some goodies there might consider. Compliments of some higher up Air Force Buddies.
Tell me if your interested in a public, high band width, hefty GPU server for each campaign. Enough people, I’d be willing to make it permanent.

Yep, I’d fly in that. I am by no means a Linux guru especially as to the terminal, but I can follow instructions. I’ve even used putty before but don’t recall anything about it off the top of my head.

This sounds pretty cool, not sure why there aren’t more replies to this thread?

Running in a VM’d environment w/ Linux will be your first challenge.

@TGW:
Not really, if you’re using Proxmox VE (Debian 9 fork). I ran several DCS servers in this enviroment and was quite easy to administrate, actually . . . .
BMS requires the server to be in the 3D world, and DCS isn’t exactly a proof of concept for hosting BMS. YMMV

BMS doesn’t require the server to do anything in 3D though, so Sthaliks fork of wine which doesn’t draw primitives is a good fit. Search for forum for headless wine for BMS server.

Good morning, dglinski.
Well, if I got your interesting proposal correctly, I would be curious and interested too.
Awaiting for more news.
Thanks for your attention, with best regards.

Eh… What’s with the “Turtle” ??? :mrgreen:

I don’t know if this is to apply for server admin only, but I can apply as a player.
