This post is deleted! -
To the pleasure of some, and the displeasure of others, the future for the Kashmir theater has proven to be too uncertain and without suitable support and is thus currently unworkable
I’ve decided to postpone this project indefinitely.
I will try and post stuff up of things I’ve already done.
Too sad to see a great work like yours to be postponed!
I already have offered my little help to you my friend to things that i know.
I hope also and other developers offer their help to you, so you can continue your great work until the completion of the marvelous Kashmir theater.
Hang on there mate, just relax and maybe the help will come. Don’t lose your courage ;)!
With my absolute respect to you and to your great and very nice work.
Your friend Nikos. -
I don’t believe that the crash in to the ground has to do anything with it… Unless:
1. Word is out that it will never be fixed
2. Aliens kidnapped Zeledgend or occupied his brain…Dude the Miniclorons are way more than enough in your system … so the Force is strong with u…
Now cut the crap and test my flares and heat blur and show us how my tracers look at the Everest…
And on top of them all X-Files never closes…
-
I’ll second my dearest friend Nikos’ wise thoughts.
Zelegend, keep on and please feel always free to let me know what on my little own I would do to help you in releasing your awesome initiative.
With best regards,
-

Ah, nothing else? So I have to worry for nothing more :uham:
Take care and best regards, dear Arty.

Unfortunately I can not help you if I could I would do it
It’s a shame when the Magnificent project would never be finished because there is too much work for one man. what you showed was absolutely great give yourself a break! Or use a bit Help from other Friends.Do what makes you fun and everyone gets to the point where he needs a break or help from the project!
Thanks very much for your previous work m8:D

Cheers mate, and many thanks to all for your support!!! Thanks neystratiou for your offer and others!!!
Before I started this project I gave a heads up to management who graciously offered support thus giving me confidence to spend my time and energy to see this through.
BMS have a well thought out plan and approach given their current constraints such as personnel, aspirations, priorities and such. However, i’ve been told that this is a “significant fix” that may be done in the long term future. Additionally, I fully agree with their process but in this case I’m offering a new set of hands to help fix my problem for mutual benefit now - whilst I still have time and motivation.
So the solution is out of my hands, I’m willing to spend my time to design and implement a ‘code change’ but trying to guess which leaked codebase is representative of BMS and spend time and energy fixing code which may or may not be representative is not something i, or anyone would like to venture down or should venture down.
This world is about the dynamic campaign not just PVP so it’s not in my MO to release a half baked theatre which is why I even went down to changing the logbook medals (LOL).
Best regards and again, many thanks for your support.

Sad to see this one go “dead” ZELEGEND. As others wrote, why not release it for human pilots. I can fully understand that it will not be fully operative in the state of what you would have liked to see. I must say that it is one of the most amazing looking theatres we in the falcon community could have for the pure pleasure of flying in these heights.
Greetings

Can’t sorry, I want my baby to have legs, arms and a head (in addition to other things) and remember, I’m also a pilot too (end-user) so I want it fully functioning.
Best regards mate and thanks for your support.

Have you tried messaging some BMS developers for help? They might not even know you are having issues like this.

I know it sucks to read a new post with only a bump, so my apology as well;). I find this theatre top interisting due to its mountainous area.Tom

Just a thought.
AI aircraft crashing into mountains.
RAM22 or any of the other campaign people here can surely answer:
Could that be something simply to be solved by changing it inside the AI datfiles in simdata datfiles to different minimum altitudes for specific weapons?
It is a long time ago, but I recall that in FreeFalcon the matter of pre-coded or preset (as “set in simdata AC files”) altitudes was discussed. Of course also in campaign relevant files, I forgot all details as I never dev’d camps. However, as above stated, I am no dev. And all that was remembered from FF, a different fruit.
I recall there weapon minimum altitudes as an example are coded inside the simdata ACDATA files for each aircraft.
Maybe this in connection with campaign mission files could be rearranged to allow for higher altitudes…or make those default for all planes used in campaigns under all relevant mission types.
As I said, correct me, I know I read tons of stuff about mission types and priorities in our FF campaign forum group, but most of that is either lost in my memory or totally irrelevant here. -
PS: I never understood all that campaign development relevant mass of text in the first place, but I hope you get my thought anyway. I also know that in BMS the simdata files are generic, which is a problem for theatre specific changes.
Chrs, Tom out and back to WWII…
