WIP - Kashmir Theatre - (Pak-Indo Conflict) Discussion

Sure, you’ll need an aim-120 BVR range, keep beaming and don’t get close to the F-7PGs.
Jokes, aside, do you have any preference of what you would like to see instead?
As already mentioned, its a clutter thing. Same background minus the airplane would probably work well

Any of these take your fancy?

GUI is not supposed to be a picture gallery, despite what current bms gui is, it should be be easy on the eyes as much as possible - the sim itself is hard enough, no need to make the gui navigation even harder… just keep that in mind.

I’ll take all of them please - it is a goal of mine to spend time in the region and aim to do so sooner than later.
Take a look at Lead Pursuit with F4:Allied Force - what they actually did very very well (among other things) was create a UI which, although not the prettiest, was certainly very enjoyable to use. As Moort mentions, UI doesn’t need to be a slideshow of beautiful images which ultimately distract the user from the tasks at hand. This might even apply to the planning map - it is extremely difficult to get the balance between looks good and is functional and easy to use. Look at the great many planner maps created using Terrainview as another example. They look “basic” at best, and due to contrast problems, are an absolute nightmare to use and even look at.

It’s truly is an incredible place, would highly recommend it. I’ve never seen a place like that anywhere in the world.

Yes mate you’re preaching to choir here question of time and priority if anything really. Given the time required to create this thing I’m pretty sure I could have “pushed a camel through the eye of a needle” by now (with aid of a blender of course;))

What about porn? Moort would love that. Mower and BD, too…… Not too detailed… In fact, do a poll. Would people like fancy pictures of nature, military machinery or just plain nudity ? What should we press to join ?

Not impossible - maybe if we had a B-17 era campaign (ref B-17 nose art)?

There will be 2 texture sets for the mountains - one summer (no or very little snow) and one winter wonderland. In addition, the built-in ‘shader’ (season selector in setup) has an in-between-seasons effect to total three different Himalayan experiences.
What you see below is the built-in season selector (selectable in setup) doing it’s thing over the textures.

To the pleasure of some, and the displeasure of others, the future for the Kashmir theater has proven to be too uncertain and without suitable support and is thus currently unworkable
I’ve decided to postpone this project indefinitely.
I will try and post stuff up of things I’ve already done.

Does this decision come about as a result of the AI flying into the ground? If so, is there any chance of releasing this theater as a PVP type environment for humans? It would be a shame to see all of this work go down the tube. Hopefully there will be a solution down the road. Best of luck

i hope all work done was not in vain. My objective along with other friends is to finish all the campaigns available. Not for the medals but to keep the interest high in the simulator. Now the Balkans then IT.
hope you can share your knowledge and work with other moders.

I can not believe that the best theater is canceled, because nobody not help you
-
I can understand the reason to postpone your project until there is a fix for the ground crashing AI.
But I can’t understand why there should someone be encouraged.
If so, then he/ she/ it… is not a true part of the community, IMHO.I really hope we’ll see you theater fully working someday.
Don’t give up buddy, most of us appreciate the work you are doing.
Cheers,
LS
