@drtbkj Hi mate , forgot to tell ya , few days before , … you have a bug in update 1.4.exe .
When updating “Theater” tdf/tga files… it puts them in wrong dir … missing “Theater Definition” in path.
You know, files should be in “\Add-On OFMKTO\TerrData\TheaterDefinition” but update puts them in “\Add-On OFMKTO\TerrData” … so NO “TheaterDefinition” in path.
Just fyi.
Cheers
Also… file “CP_SCF.LST” , - that file should go somewhere in “…\Art” dir , but is in your “…\Sim” dir … I guess no problem/no effect , just “an orphan”
…and also , in “art/ckpitart” … pits 8926 , 1495 , 2009 , have models files inside there, … not a problem - no effect , just surplus … since models are … where they are

Thanks, Fang, though strange as TDF and TGA are in Theater Def. in my install.
So, if anyone is having issues with OFMKTO , check and see if a 2kb OFMKTO.TDF and a 222 OFMKTO.TGA are “hanging out” in Terrdata. If so move them one more step to Theater Definition -
@drtbkj You have from previous version =1.4 , check theater tdf file is version 1.4.1 inside.
Even pic (theater - tga) have version 1.4.1 on “BMS MAFIA” pic,But other then that is not different. … all paths are OK … nothing changed then ver number. — So again - No effect if those files are wrongly (not) updated …
Cheers

Thanks, Fang. I posted it over on the OFMKTO thread just to play it safe. It’s a bit strange as part of the new ver. testing process is for me to install it from the Mediafire link just like you do, precisely to catch this type of thing!

Good Day, All.
Here’s an update regarding the Mafia Files, and their ongoing evolution. I took a good look at them today and realized that it was time for some reorganization.
So, if you go to https://www.mediafire.com/folder/s8rh0djrr3j3n/BMS+4.35-4.36+Data+Files you’ll find a renamed 4.35-36 Data Files folder. In there you find the files organized by jet. One stop shopping .
Each jet’s folder will have the OFM’s latest flight model(acdata) and cockpit(Art) files. Some may have extras such as DDS files, like the 1799 folder. Some of the folders will have numbers in their name. That seemed a handy way to let you know the jet’s Art folder uses a number and not a name. But, they will also have name labels, such as 1799(F-18C). You should remove the label before you install them.
As of this post the jets with the new format are-F-18C/E, F-14Aggressor/A/B/D, AV8, EF-18M,F-35 B/C, and the Tornado. And, this list will continue to grow. There are also some misc. files such as the 3dbutt.dat for the Mirage.
The individual data files are the “latest and greatest”, literally pulled from my working OFMKTO Theater install. As such, they should work in any of the Chuckles/OFM Theater family, and may work in your theater-of-choice. That is dependent on the plane model the Theater Dev chooses to use and the current version of the Theater. So, as always, it is recommended you back up the original files before you replace them. -
Most useful!
I will give it a look and some tests as well.
Thanks a lot for the update and the news, Fra’.
With best compliments for the release and with best regards to you and all who are involved.

You are very welcome, Compadre.
BTW, as a follow to yesterday’s post- Rather then keep track of every theater thread, I’ll announce any changes to the Files in this thread. -
Today’s Update: Mafia File changes…
The 8517(F-35B) folder has been updated. It now gives you the option to load either the Hornet Pit or the Fifth Gen Pit. The flight model dat/afm files are unchanged. And, as usual-“The individual data files are the “latest and greatest”, literally pulled from my working OFMKTO Theater install. Good Day, All.
Today’s post is an update plus a nice procedure Brother Eddie gave me. You see, somehow the Alternate Launcher/BMS interface got borked and my HOTAS stopped working. So, a reinstall seemed the ticket, and this procedure is so cool I had to write it down…
“1) Go into your File Explorer and rename your main BMS Folder to mine, Backup, or whatever (Ex: Falcon BMS 4.36-mine)
2) Make a new folder titled Falcon BMS 4.36.
3) Copy and paste the Setup Application exe(in your BMS Setup folder) to your new folder.
4) Now go to your BMS Setup folder and run the exe. to uninstall BMS. Half of the beauty of this procedure is that it will look to your new folder,” clean the slate" for the registry entry and such, but all your files will still exist!
5) Now, in Setup run the exe. again. The other half of the beauty of this is that your bsf files are still in setup. You don’t have to download everything again.
6) Now go to x>4.36>backup/main/whatever>data>terrdata>theater definition and copy theater.lst to your new install.
7) Finally, go to x>x>4.36backup/main/whatever>data>and move all the "Add-on…"theater folders to the new BMS. You have 2 options with that. You can copy and paste. This takes awhile to do, but you will have backup. Or, just move them, which is a lot quicker. "I didn’t try to save my old BMS-Auto, but copying it (or whatever keyfile you’ve modded) from the original folder may work for you. I simply reset HOTAS via AL
Update wise, we continue to work on the 5G Pit ( and thanks again Metalhead!) and the F-35 flight model. “Fat Amy” has developed a desire to flat spin. Plus, we want to get the carrier landing speed down a bit.

Nice thread, dude.

Today’s update is regarding 4.36.2. We noticed a change that was causing ctd’s in OFMKTO. We are close to releasing OFMKTO 1.5, but in the meantime here is a hotfix-https://www.mediafire.com/file/fxx60o7wrpjd9qm/4.36.2_OFMKTO_hotfix.rar/file

Good Day, All . Today’s update is about OFMKTO, but will also effect the Chuckles/OFM family of theaters and Osprey’s Taiwan. We did a lot of flight testing for this in the F-18’s and F-35’s , and this version contains the results. We were able to gain significant G-performance while preventing flat spins and having good carrier landing speeds.
There was a tradeoff, though, and that’s what this post is about. In jets that have AFM files there is a setting called Has NASA Data. A NASA value of 2 gives you manual flaps and auto throttle. This is a Hard Code item we can’t change and apparently the only way to get these features. The thing is , in U1, and now U2, something changed in NASA 2. We couldn’t get the jets to fly right . Believe me , we tried.
So, we had to make a choice of performance or those features, and we went with performance. The flaps are not too big an issue. The Super Hornet and F-35 have autoflaps(like the Viper) anyway. I still slap the flaps down in the Legacy. It’s an immersion thing, but you no longer have to.
The real loss , for people like me who use it a lot, is auto throttle. For now at least it’s MIA. We think the BMS Dev’s put a G-restriction on NASA 2, and they would need to change that. We have reached out to them . -

Good Day, All, Today’s update regards an OFMKTO 1,5 Hotfix. We found a couple of bugs, and this is the repair. Do NOT uninstall OFM 1.5.
Changes-F-35A Mission Capability not matches the F-35C
-F-18F-Flight model update and wing fold fix (see below)
-F-18E wing fold WIP. We had found the the Rhino’s wings didn’t fold enough. This fixes the wing fold in external view. I say WIP as in cockpit view they now fold a bit too much. This apparently is a model issue which will take more work.

Good Day, All. Today is a quick update regarding the 5Gen Pit. We added a hotspot on the center MFD’s OSB 6 which cycles the RWR/Gauges/HSI pages
The direct link to the file is https://www.mediafire.com/file/k6xmdxq9i45myfe/3dbuttons.dat/fileand it get placed in x/BMS 4.36/Data/ tour theater with current F-35 model/Art/Ckptart/8519 folder, replacing the one there.
Plus; F-35C Note: As previously mentioned the flaps are automatic like the Viper. Also, do not set take off trim.

Good Day, All. Today’s update regards something I read over in the Theater section, regarding whether or not to uninstall/reinstall when new Theater versions come out. For OFMKTO, if the download title does not include “hotfix”, then it’s a uninstall/reinstall. And, I feel fairly safe to say that it’s the same for theaters in the Chuckles/Osprey/OFM group.
Of course, always feel free to ask if you have doubts.
Also, I noticed in OFMKTO that the uninstaller is in the Add-On OFMKTO folder itself, not x/BMS 4.36/Data -
One more Update for today…
Hotfix’s: I noticed 2 things regarding the F-35C. First, the cockpit setup had changed slightly with the addition of a rwr/gauge/HSI display select on the center MFD’s OSB 6. The Taiwan file is the slightly older one. Also, in several theaters the throttle wouldn’t go to full MIL, although 'burner did work.
Here are the fixes, plus a Readme on installation
https://www.mediafire.com/file/dusjjzp07a44z84/f35c.dat/file
https://www.mediafire.com/file/uujiqomps8odbq6/3dbuttons.dat/file
https://www.mediafire.com/file/269q9gw4zeguz74/F-35_cockpit_files_Readme.txt/fileI have tested these in OFMKTO, Taiwan, and my beta U2 Nevada. They should be included in the others in the Chuckles/OFM theater group as they come out, and will work in the 1.5 version of any that are out( assuming they have the 35C). Also, the fixes should work in the F-35A and B in any 1.5 Theater . But they haven’t been tested there. So, as usual, back up the originals

Hhmmm, Fra’…
Not to be freely skeptical at all costs, and with you less than all the others, but… are you sure that also the F-35.dat should be put in that cockptart 8519 folder mentioned in your instructions (thanks a lot for it, by the way),and not even it the Sim/ACData instead?
With best regards.

Hi, Jackal, I always appreciate your input, but in this case my “cranium was not up my gluteal region”. But, you gave me a good segue to re-explain how the Media Fires Files are currently organized.
We want all the Files in one download . So, if you go into 4.35-36 Data Files you’ll find individual folders for each jet. They’re labeled by name, but some are numbered. I did that to tell at a glance which cockpit (Art) files are listed by number and not by name. The thing is that different folders have different things. Look at the F-18C, for example, It has cockpit ,flight model, and skins files.
There are several ways these files could be moved around. We went with an organization where we could open it in Downloads and move the files without having to rename them, etc. Each download should have a Readme with installation instructions. In case a folder has been missed here and there, this is also available. https://www.mediafire.com/file/quomfbxikivqoxx/BMSOFM_Database_Installation_Guide.txt/file.All, Here is an update regarding ramp starting the F-35. When we have the 5G pit to 100% we’ll present a Checklist. Speaking of which, let us know if there’s anything else you would like to see in’Pit. In the meantime…
- If you like the “naval style” start with the APU, be sure it’s turned off when you enter the 'Pit (Mine has been spawning with it on). Also, don’t run it too long. You will get hotstarts. What we do is turn the APU off as soon as the engine’s rpm comes off the peg.
2)On the start, take rpm to 25% before you go over the detent, setting throttle to MIL, and retard to idle at 40% rpm. - Before you set the BUP/UFC to UFC go to the Aux Com panel and do one left click to the BUPUHFFunction( the knob labeled BRT) . If your UHF won’t turn on , you missed it.

Good morning, Fra’.What? Never guessed what you folks would be able to do at your places.
ImpressingMore seriously, now.
Thanks for your explainations, I think that reading that guide and yours instructions will help me in installing these too correctly. With best regards.
