I’ am building an Ikaros 80-90 mod with some of your models; next step for me to learn is to add a moddel, not to replace one for an other.

Wel, i found a youtube film for adding moddels/weapons. I succeed in adding weapons. (There is a new skin for a F18 with a special paint wingtank. I copy the tank for that model, so that a Canadian F18 can have a neutral fueltank. )
Trial, error and try again. And with help i will manage. Thanks again for everything.

the bug comes from…
1. the slot number 0 and 1 are reversed.
2. the outermost slot coordinates are wrong. -

before moving to 4.33U1, i test nove’s stinger squad model in 4.33.
i DOF the two-soldier team model and add one slot.
first i use this lod for stinger squad - wierd, the lod does not trun toward incoming ac constantly, neither fire missile… later i found stinger missile should be IR-SAM, not IR-all aspect.
even doing some tweak, the response is no good.then i replace SA-7 unit with this lod. oh yeah, it works.
the pic show two sa7 squd… once my ac flying closer, their respond is quick-turn and aim at me-constantly, then fire SA7! big SAM blast and flame( fixed in U1)!
i’ve to admit… watching the MANPAD squd reacting to incoming ac(me) looks really cool…and the sweet soldier model adds alot of battle field atomsphere.

test JBDs on CV Foch…(only two JBD)… work nicely.
in this case lod use meatball script, catapult 1-4 with DOF#3-6.
BUT… with meatball script, carrier/ship radars can not turn with DOF5/Longbow script.
hope BMS coder could assign a new DOF# for ship radars.
BTW still have no idea how to edit CV objective…

Okay, fixed all Rhino HP issues (fuselage and AF variant stbd inbd pylon). Now trying to fix stabilator asymmetry. Question: is it possible to edit how a feature of the mesh joins another in LE?

Pretty sure that’s a model issue and it goes all the way back to FF.

It appears to be editable via LE DOF’s 5859 and 5844 for F-4B (for example). However it looks waaaay more complex than the slot’s. Kicking my mental-ass, thus far…

Take the side that looks right and mirror it to the other via DOF editors in LE.

Thought of that, so-far the control panel’s pretty hard to figure-out (k, i, n, translation, etc.) Used cut-paste function, but actually made things worse! : P I used to think this sort of thing was a lot of work. Now I’m certain!!! Still, everyman needs a hobby, right?
