Latest Helios and Ice's Profile question

OK, with the seemingly never-ending help of linknet we figured out the kink in getting the Kuwait map to display automatically and that now works perfectly when I display Ice’s full cockpit on my screen. Issue is I only want parts of Ice’s cockpit to display, specifically the CPD, and in reality just the moving Map would be fine. In the past I simply broke out the gauges and CPD, placed them on my monitors where I want them, save and done. This still works fine for the gauges, VVI, fuel flow, etc. but I have tried to get the CPD “move” to work without success. If I do get it in place with all the layers (Map/Data/Plan) the map screen goes from “No Data” to see through when BMS starts. I’ve also tried moving the button panel and the CPD Panel in their entirety and when I hit the CPD button the CPD vanishes. When I do it with Ice’s cockpit on the screen with my two copied panels I see that my separated CPD buttons are indeed working, but in Ice’s cockpit… I get maps/data/plan/ and all else available. I would almost be happy if I could just turn off everything else BUT the CPD and buttons but doing that the whole cockpit shows up… With the old version of Ice’s profile I could do all this in about 5 minutes from scratch. I don’t want to go backwards, what is it i’m missing?
Edit: I have the CPD displaying by itself, cockpit hidden, CPD Data tab works (accurate data), Fuel tab works, Map goes from No Data to see through, Plan is Green screen and buttons work but there is no data…

Run the complete profile on the screen on which you want to see the CPD then hide everything you don’t want to see (including the Front Console background image) except for the CPD and the Buttons Panel. Then just re-enable things one by one and reposition them, don’t copy and paste. Run the CPD from the CPD button on the Buttons Panel.
I just tried that and it took 5 minutes and it all still worked.;)
After that you should be able to copy and paste the gauges etc. to other screens since these are generally self contained.
The problem you were having is that when you moved (or I think copied and pasted) the CPD you lost the bindings between the CPD Button and the CPD. The CPD Button enables the correct map panels without which the CPD would appear transparent and it loads the Plan pages with data without which you would just have a green background.
These are the CPD Button bindings you lost, If you want to separate the CPD and the CPD Button you would need to re-establish both of them.

Thanks once again linknet, I have it all working correctly now. Have a profile for 4.34.4 that just puts the gauges on my small monitors and the one for 4.35.1 has the Map and buttons panel that work perfectly. I don’t see Steerpoints on the moving map (never knew that was possible), so I may have still botched something up. The Briefing is correct (once I hit Print) though…

That’s good that it’s working. The steerpoints will only show after you’ve saved the DTC and then Reset the Helios profile. But if they still don’t show it might be best to leave well alone, after all everything else is working.

Just an FYI, the Steerpoints and Data are working on the CPD so all is well! Excuse the pic, it’s pretty bad for some reason…
