Hello BMS cadre : I edited my BMS.cfg file line RTTC from 0 to 1, placed VC140_1.dll in Sys64/WOW
and still no joy.
Suggestions please.
Thx, Getsno -
So when you launch 3D in cockpit you still have the orange X?
-
@84hd79
Apologies for the delay in replying - too many tasks.
NO, when I run BMS 4.36, I can jump in a TE or whatever; trackir works, switches work, etc. I just don’t have my MFD extractions operational as show in the link with 4.33 extractions.

FYI - RTTC extraction program said I need to install vcruntime 140_1. I’ve tried System32 folder and BMS 4.36 folder, with no joy. Suggestions are welcome.
Thx, Getsno -
@Getsno
Ok, just trying to understand what you are experiencing:As shown in your above post, the program is loading when you click the RTT Client button (you get the window with the X and Circle)?
When you go into 3D, you are then receiving an error that the vcruntime140.dll is missing? What happens to the box with the X and Circle?
-
@84hd79
My sim buddy, you are right on top of my post; quite remarkable.
Answer to your question, the X Circle only happens when I attempt to start the RTTC program. I don’t know where to install the vcruntime140-1.dll to resolve the error of that .dll missing when I try to load RTT client. That is what I am having issues with.
Your coaching is most appreciated.

@Getsno
I don’t have any experience with the vc140 error. Looks like there may be some tools online that handle that, maybe it is not as easy as dropping a file in a folder? -

Getsno9/27/22/update…
Here are steps I have tried:- installed complete vcruntime pkg to my windows Sys32 and Wow64 directories, per suggestions
- checked that BMS.cfg rttexport is set to 1
- started a BMS4.36 TE and checked 3D views - OK - no black box with orange cross!
- returned to BMS startup screen and clicked on RTTClient, this time no vcruntime error as before, but then got the dreaded black box with orange cross - again, as previously posted on 9/17/2022
-
Further research…
I checked out the BMS 4.36 Tools/RTTRemote folder, and clicking on the RTTClient64, I get the orange X and black back screen. So, it appears that when I launch RTTClient it goes to this App - FYI -
Hello BMS gurus…
I am closing in on my issue.
Pls have a look at the two screens below.
Clicking on RTTClient in theBMS opening screen takes me to the orange window.FYI, my RTTServer never opens… Now I need to understand how to correct that problem.
Suggestions please… -

Good point. Thanks for reminding me.
However, I’ve invested a lot of time and effort to extract MFDs in 4.32 and 4.33 with my thrustmaster MFD frames functioning. Need to solve this issue somehow… Getsno -

You only need the RTT client for local display and enable the RTT export in the cfg file…
The server is to send the data on another PC to display the exports…
-
RTT Client is working as it should. The orange “X” is to help you dial in where you want to put the display. That is controlled with the RTTClient.cfg file. In the file you will see something like:
Furthermore, RTT Client can try to render displays “always on top”,
(ONTOP = 1, default 0) allowing you to overlay displays e.g. on the
main BMS view.
Examples:
MFDLEFT_X = 141
MFDLEFT_Y = 1444
MFDLEFT_W = 765
MFDLEFT_H = 765
MFDLEFT_ONTOP = 1MFDRIGHT_X = 2556
MFDRIGHT_Y = 1441
MFDRIGHT_W = 765
MFDRIGHT_H = 765
MFDRIGHT_ONTOP = 1Just put in the correct x y coordinates for where you want it. Then make the W and H to fit the MFD. I used the RRT Configurator to get the data and manually put it in as I couldn’t get the program to write to a file. Here is the post with download link.

Hello John, Just got to read your post, thanks for the info.
FYI - I launched the RTTConfigurator by AlphaFox and got the msg:
(https://www.dropbox.com/s/gc87grueps2e0ra/RTTConfigurator_10022022.jpg?dl=0). Not sure how to resolve that msg.
Any suggestions?
