Solved Additional config lines needed?
-
Hi,
In the intro information for the 4.36.1 one thing was not perfectly clear to me. I removed 4.36.0 and performed a fresh install of 4.36.0 + 4.36.1 (successful!). Do I need to add any script lines to my config file? Thanks.

Related to this topic, this is something we will fix for next releases: updates will always overwrite Falcon BMS.cfg so that the cfg always has the correct values (which include those flag values).
Any user specific configuration should go to Falcon BMS User.cfg.
We are learning in the way… and improving

@Seifer That sounds fine, but could you please back up the old one before replacement. So when updating to 4.36.2, rename the old version “Falcon BMS 4_36_1.cfg” or similar.
As I recall, it was recommended to not start using the user config file (yet) ? Or is that fine now with U1

@jayb yes it’s fine to use the Falcon BMS User.cfg for your specific config lines (since BMS 4.36.0)

I always make a back up of my User/Config folder and a couple of other files prior to installing any update or new version. Not a bad practice IMHO.

@Badger I agree, definitely a good practice
