Hey oh. Haven't been here in a while
-
I ran a cleanup program on my PC due to slowness issues. Guess what? It deleted my BMS instance. So I’m starting all over.
I have some Q’s for Yue’s.
I had version 4.33 because I had to run 32bit on my W10 pro version system. I would like to run the latest. Always best.
Do you know anyone that had my problem?
When I ran 4.34 which didn’t have 32 bit, or 4.33 on 64bit it just quit. Can’t remember if it had an error message. And of course, I can’t try it now to see.I really want to run the latest greatest. Any help would be appreciated.

@finsterdow sorry pilot, a few versions ago they stopped being 32bits.
We recommend that if you are able to get some 64-bit hardware to fly in the new version, otherwise I am afraid you will have to find a boat rope and take a break.
GREETINGS.

@VIPER-0 I am on 64 bit hardware. I never found out what the problem was. Wondering if anyone here knew why.
-
@finsterdow should be fine. needs a DX11 capable graphics part. and working audio path – ensure you have working audio (speakers or headphones) before starting BMS.
run DxDiag.exe to see detailed info about your GPU and drivers … also audio.
-
@finsterdow Are you on a 64-bit OS now? Any reason you can’t run/install a 64-bit OS?
-
@finsterdow Is your problem that you cannot run BMS or cannot Install BMS?
To install BMS you need Falcon 4 installed as well.
Forget about 4.33 / 4.34 we are on 4.36 U3 now. -
@airtex2019 DX 12

@Badger Here I am all broken hearted Tried to run and would not started.
Installed base, plus U1 U2 U3 . Launch screen appears and goes away. This is where I was with 4.34. Cant remember how we diagnosed but some component was halting the program. Turned off antivirus
Is there something I can run to make sure that I have it installed correctly
When I ran the update exe’s, I pointed to the base setup folder
c:%user/download/BMS 4.36 Setup.
Seemed to run ok
-
@finsterdow Did you have your antivirus off during the download & install process?
Do you have a sound playback device, speakers / headset, plugged in?If you check the contents of your Falcon_BMS_Setup / data folder you should see all the various components that are installed. 4.36.0 through 4.36.3
-
@Badger Yes Sound works, speaker plugged in

@Badger slowly coming back to me. I think it has to do with my HOTAS. I disconnected it and it would run. Someone previously thought it might have something to do with Force Feed Back. Why? Not sure
-
@finsterdow any chance that there are updated drivers for your set up?
Otherwise, I’m at a loss.
Might try the search for force feed back or check the HOTAS section for someone with the same device.
Good luck
