Typhoon FGR4 Improvement
-
Hi.
I’m trying to improve the default Typhoon FGR4 a bit more. The 3d model is really excellent. The 3d model is perfectly compatible with the real aircraft.
I started my improvement work from the cockpit. The first images are as follows.
My innovations:
- New pilot helmet
- New ejection seat
- New cockpit parts
- New mirrors
- New avionics etc.
For now, I am using the F-18C cockpit with this aircraft. I hope someday the BMS dev team will build the Typhoon cockpit.
Best regards

@buraktunahan .
Wow, great work. Well detailed! Keep it up…I’m no design expert, but I love it! -
@buraktunahan Looks very nice. Is it “only” texture work or did you modify the mesh as well?
-
@Fox_15 I repainted the textures using real photos whenever possible.
-
Excellent work once again
What about to implement this work on updated PSD with the 3d model owner permission?
I can provide a link by pm in next hours if you are interested.
Best Regards

I have been up dlose and personnel recently to the Typhoon, but alas as you know the cockpit, and intake, are Secret.

@dema Hi dema.
I would be very grateful if you could share the psd file with me. This makes my job even easier.
However, I would like to mention another issue. If you know the owner of the model, I have a few suggestions to make this aircraft more realistic.
1- Typhoon is actually a very large aircraft. An aircraft almost SU-30 Height. However, this size cannot be seen in BMS. Because the landing gear is modeled a little shorter than the real thing. I have shared a photo below. I overlapped the right side view of the 3d model with the real Typhoon photo. The transparent yellow aircraft belongs to the 3d model. As you can see, the 3d model is perfectly compatible with the real Typhoon. The modeler modeled it really well. However, the landing gear is modeled shorter than the real aircraft. That’s why the real Typhoon looks smaller in the BMS. It doesn’t look as high and imposing as the SU-30.
2- Also, the canopy glass of the real Typhoon is curved upwards like the F-16. However, in our model, this camber is made flat.
3- Finally, I would like to point out that the most characteristic feature of Typhoon in most photographs is the green colored HUD glass. This glass is characteristic of Typhoon. If this HUD glass is also modeled as green clear glass, we can get a perfect Typhoon model in BMS.

Great!
pm sent with psd link
about 3d model I suggest to don’t pay too much attention on details, of course they are important.
They will have what they deserve, but it’s not the priority now for current version.Best regards and thanks for your effort, really appreciated.

She looks very promising, dear Burak.
I love your usual attention for details of any kind… but just about it, please consider, at its proper time, to add the Italian AMI skins and version to this one - we too manifacturated and have them, like the Tornados, you know.
So flying one of ours would be… particularly nice, and I don’t tell more about. With best regards.
-
@Jackal I was already planning to paint it in ITAF colors. I just didn’t mention it above. Because there are already RAF and Germany skins in BMS.
-
New landing gear
-
New air intake and afterburner effect.
-
Great work. Do you also intend to work on the German 3D model?
For the British one you might change the anti-collision light colors (that one on the back and beneath the airintake) from red to white and remove the covert lights from it. Maybe a reassignment of the store station numbers would be helpful to get all relevant stations to show up on the SMS/SJ pages.

@Scorpion82
I am currently planning to paint only in Italian colors. Because Germany skin is available in BMS. -
I’m talking about the 3D model changes, or is your work affecting both? Screenshots and title imply the british variant is being worked on only?

I’m just awaiting her… what else more should I tell here? With best regards.

I have completed my project. You can download the Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon skin from the link below.
Improvements I’ve made:
New pilot helmet
New pilot wear
New ejection seat
New cockpit and canopy parts
New mirrors
New avionics etc.
New landing gear
New air intake
New afterburner effect
New some minor fixes etc.Install:
1- Back up the original files in the “Your Drive:\Falcon BMS 4.36\Data\Your Theater\Terrdata\Objects\KoreaObj” folder.
2- Copy and replace the new files you downloaded with the original files.
A request from the BMS development team:
The Eurofighter Typhoon 3D model in the BMS simulator is incredibly compatible with the real aircraft. Perfectly modeled. However, as I mentioned in my messages above, the landing gear and canopy are a little different from the real aircraft. The 3D model will become even more perfect if the landing gear and canopy are corrected.

Listen, dearest bro: not only she’s pretty. because you made her pretty. Not only she’s very well detailed, because you were skilled so much to make her this way.
But she’s able to fly like hell!
And she belongs to the 36° Stormo of the Apulian AMI Gioia del Colle Air Base - my home, practically (I’m from Bari, almost 40 Km. from there).Well, it’s not my beloved Tornado, and will never be in my heart either, but I but I can still feel almost satisfied - hold back, I said “almost” here
With a huge lot of thanks, my best compliments for the awesome resulta of your hard work and best regards.

Just want to make sure @Manos1981 is aware of that texturing revamp

Good job on the visuals. Wonder however what you did with regard to the avionics? Stores loadout is off as well, Storm Shadows aren’t physically possible on the inboard pylons and the tanks are apparently not the standard 1000 L SFT either. What tank model did you use?
