So about those cockpit pedals
-
In VR it is clear that the pedals in the 3D cockpit of the Viper is a bit “shallow”. (Too close to the pilot for anyone taller than 5 feet). Can its position be adjusted with modifying a file or editing a config? Or even just deleted or made transparent?
Asking for a friend.

Nothing we can do until the cockit is completely redone…
-
@spotdott I think a more important question is what the heck are you doing focusing on the pedals??!??
-
@Atlas he dropped a pen down there.
-
@Atlas if I’m asking about the pedals it’s a gauge that the sim is damn near perfect.
The practical reason why it’s important is when flying in VR if the position of the virtual body does not match up, my brain telling me that something is off and affects immersion.
Oops there goes another pen
-
@spotdott Yep, damn-near-perfect but still has some flaws. As my real feet is on the physical pedals all the time anyway, my brain just ignores this. Reaching out and not touching the correct switch in the correct place (ie, LG lever) is more of an immersion-breaker for me, hence making a replica pit is the next project.

Agree. And this is what gaves me the feeling of something wrong in world size or cockpit size in VR, but it is probably just that pedal stuff …
-
@Dee-Jay I think I notice it more when there is a pilot body in the cockpit… as I never really paid much attention to the pedals.
-
@Atlas I know right?? that’s why I turn off the pilot’s body now for a minor performance boost and less distracting ‘tiny boots’
