To help me destroy an enemy ground unit i created in my package an A-10C PRE-CAS mission. A-10c had 4XAGM-65D, weather was ok, some clouds but most of the sky was clear (my #2, AI, had also AGM-65D and did attacks on this unit in this weather conditions).
Bottom line, A-10C was usless and did not attacked the unit.
Here is some details from TACVIEW -
On my package were 2 more A-10C missions (1 more PRE-CAS & 1 CAS mission over the area), non of them attacked this ground unit.
Anyone have a clue why this behavior occurs ?

Ah, yes. AI control is an arcane art. Fly with a Ouija board. Seriously ,though, you mention this was PRE-CAS, so I assume your were attacking the assigned target? Did you give the “attack ground” and "attack my targets " calls and what was AI responses?
When we were testing the Nevada Theater we noticed an issue with AI’s attacking Spec Ops battalions. What type of group were you attacking? Perhaps experiment by making the enemy another type.
IMHO, the BMS AI works well, but you have to “box the variables” . Try different things to find what works. Also, if memory serves, isn’t there something in the Docs about AI control? -
@drtbkj The unit is SP-GUNS.
My #2 (F-16CM-50) attacked the unit, no problem there.
He was on my flight.All the others A-10C was seperate flights in my package.
Can i order them in some way (tune to their VHF or what ?) like i do with my flight members ?A point to to think about, even if AI have some kind of problem to attack, why do 360 circles for a long time . . . why not go back to home base ?

@regev I can’t find it now but remember seeing a post (possibly a bug report) a while ago where this was talked about.
It appeared that this constant circling behaviour was related to the final waypoint before the target waypoint being too close and the aircraft couldn’t get down to the correct altitude for it’s attack run in the distance available.
