Hi mates !!
I reinstalled BMS and now I have problems with that X52 profile.
It worked perfectly before and now the Pinky switch won’t work anymore… I did add the two lines about pinky switch in falcon BMS.cfg, and I followed the procedure exactly… but still no pinky switch, so I can’t use CMS and all the switched functions… could you help me ?! Is there something I can do ?!
Thanks in advance mates for your help and sorry for my bad english …

I had to run the X52 with its control panel open, and pushed off to the side to have the Pinky shift work properly. Don’t ask me why, but that fixed my lack of shift function.

Hi kesmonkey,
Thanks for all this good work. I’m trying to set up a Saitek X52 Pro throttle w/ a HOTAS Warthog stick (yeah, I’m crazy… What I cannot figure out how to do is just enable the mouse functions on the throttle for the radar cursor / range functions as you have done. I’m looking at your files to figure out how this works. I’ve got your Saitek .pro file loaded correctly, there just seems to be something I’m missing in the BMS controller setup screen for linking this functionality to the cursors. I’m hesitant to try applying your whole setup just because I have everything else working for me, and if I could understand this issue, id be better off. Any advice would be helpful; I’ll continue to read my manuals (Romeo Tango Fox Mike Thx!!

Fantastic profile thank you so much mate

After giving up making my own profile for BMS I started using this one and its great once you get acquainted with it more
But I do have a few questions related to key binds.
Pressing any of the Master modes on the LCD panel does nothing for me. Likewise for some reason trying to activate any of the Master Modes trough the ICP panel does nothing?
Which key is mapped to recording ACMI?
You mapped Flaps but apparently they aren’t used
@Frederf:What airplane are you flying in BMS? There’s no flaps up/down for F-16.
Thanks for the profile KesMonkey
EDIT: I’ve found why I can’t select master modes. Its because of the override modes. The issue is even by deleting the commands from the key file the input is still there. How can I disable the Overrides modes on my joystick?
-
The ACMI switch is located on the left console by the throttle with 3 positions, SimAVTRSwitchOff, SimAVTRSwitchAuto, SimAVTRSwitchOn.
Look throughout the entire .key file. It’s normal for callbacks to appear twice (or more) in the file. Use Ctrl-F to find them by callback name, delete them all, and then add:
SimSelectMRMOverride -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “HOTAS-MRM override mode”
SimDeselectOverride -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “HOTAS-MRM/DF override cancel”
SimSelectSRMOverride -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “HOTAS-Dogfight override mode”This will return them to the .key file in a suitable place so you have blank key binds for when you want to bind them later. It is suggested that you save your .key file as a new name Denco4.key -> Denco5.key for example and then load the new file. This makes sure that you are using the new version and allows you to go back to the old version if the new one has a problem.
-
Ok so this is weird. I did as you advised Freder but for some reason the override commands are still mapped to Mode 1, 2 and 3?
In the options it clearly shows that they are unbind. The profile also shows the Modes as not programed. I am completely lost here.
EDIT: Nevermind I found it

any one have this profile for the PRO version?
-
Nice, i will now be setting this up for the first time right now. I finally figured what i want, after DAYS of testing with my stick, learning that SST isnt the way to go, and that there is no real mainstream BMS joystick config, its all preference, and deciding that i DO WANT to follow as closely to F16 original specs as well. SO i like this setup, i think its a good starting point for me to get to a working solution. I coulnt figure out for the life of me how to get the pinky switch to work, but i think i know now, and this should help…. ill update you if i have any problems/solutions.

Thanks a lot for the profile KesMonkey !!! Is great. Its the best Profile for X52 (non PRO) and most apropriate to real F16 Hotas what I ever found. But I have an issue. I am not very good in computer things……
I bought recently one Thrustmaster Cougar MFD´s set . After modifing my Keyfile like i read hier in Forum it didn´t work for me corectly. i have isue with the joystick with the mode switch and some more…Didnt work correctly and I can fly this awesome SIM.
I will realy apreciate wenn you can make and post one Keyfile for MFD too. It will be the awesome !!! I think many people will need this.
Thank you very much !!!piki
PS. sorry for my bad english !

Would be awesome if this profile could be fixed/ported to 4.33

You can use the keyfile editor in the docs folder to create this profile from scratch.

How? I don’t get it. I would really like to use this x52 profile
-
You can create another with the same buttons and commands of this one by using the tool provided in folder Docs/Keys & Input of your BMS installation.

EDIT: Never mind, I found a solution

Sorry, i’m new to HOTAS, was using a simple joy in the past. Which tool? I saw the key file, but which tool i should use to configure them?
Bind your stick and throttle using the keyfiles under the “Setup/Advance” tabs within BMS.

Oh please please please please update this to 4.33. I’ve tried the editor and I’m lost as a goose in a snowstorm. Maybe it’s because I have Open Office instead of MS Office, I dunno.
Also, the key command list is about the most obtuse thing I’ve ever seen. I spend more time figuring out what the switch action actually is than programming the stick.
