Voice Attack

If using VOICE ATTACK, is it possible to have UHF and VHF input ?
I mean for example: if pressing VHF key and using a tower command, nothing happen as i am not on the right band. With LMC you can open the program 2 times one for UHF profile, the other for VHF profile and use the right jostick button for each one.

Hi VA doesn’t know if you are on VHF or UHF in BMS or indeed is your in BMS at all if you point VA at “active window” - if you program the response to the voice command it will active the programmed key strokes in the order and with the timings you imputed into the VA profile.
So “in bound for landing” will activate the key strokes irrespective of what ever else is going on … even if you are on desk top when you say “in bound for landing” VA should recognise it and activate the key strokes …
Hope this helps or am I missing your point ?

thanks ironman for the answer.
The point is I want to use 2 différent profiles at the same time, one for UHF and the second for VHF, each one with a different PPT button.
With LMC, I can do that by running two sessions of LMC at the same time.
Do you think it could have a way with VA ?
I Had a look on VA yesterday night, but I haven’t found any way to manage UHF ans VHF separately
What do you think ?EDIT : The automatic switching profile could do the job, except at that time it is only applicable to point to application. If it could point to a pressed command on the joystick, it could Run.
For example :
I press the UHF button on the throttle (directX), VA load UHF profile, and in consequence, only TOWER, AWACS, and TANKEr commands can be recognized as in the UHF profile I don’t put any flight (wingman) commands !
I press the VHF button, VA Switch to VHF profile, and so only flight (wingman) commands can be recognized.EDIT2 : Could the condition builder help ?

Its not what you are looking for but might suit some. What I do is have listen active at all times EXCEPT when I transmit on vhf. This suits me because most multiplayer in flight comms is on vhf (my choice) This means that I never get any unwanted voice commands being triggered when I speak to other players but voice commands are available at all other times. Also commands that I might WANT to broadcast to be audible to other players I can achieve by keying uhf tx. If I have reason to speak to other players on uhf I take extra care not to trigger a command. I can be lazy when using vhf.

I understand what you do CobaltUK. It is relevant if human players in your flight… but I would like to run it when offline

Ok this might help - in Voice attack you can “suspend listening” by using the “Left Alt + F2” key combination - so you might be able to map it onto you UHF and VHF key strokes on you HOTAS ? the suspend listening key stroke combination is a toggle command so you would need to program your HOTAS with “Left Alt + F2” combination before and after your existing “push to talk” on UHF and “push to talk” VHF commands.
So using my key file on my HOTAS it would look like “Left Alt + F2 END Left Alt + F2” for VHF and “Left Alt + F2 HOME Left Alt +F2” for UHF
Not tried it BUT it might work … cant see any reason it wouldn’t - but I am wildly optimistic like that !!!
Just another way to attack the problem ;0)

I should think you’d want to map as an on/off action - that would save keystrokes - such that UHF or VHF on would invoke voice command, and UHF or VHF off would command cancel. Similar to how Dogfight (and Speed Brake?) switches work.
