HMS usage without radar?

Too late

Even native English speakers miss things when you have over 1000 pages of information in the new manuals. People who do not have English as their first language find it even more difficult to understand and assimilate all the data, not to mention it takes them more time.

And what I miss is list off all acronyms. I always have to rechek where last of first time saw any new. During flying I can’t use search in pdf and in printed format is no search option. I have to make my own.

So, once you will have deeply studied and listed all the possible acronyms, feel free to transmit your document to the team for integration in the next update (just like RD and DM made with the present documentation.)
Thank you, it should be useful! You might want to associat your effort to another user of the forum who already started (I do not remember who exactly, but the search button should help you)

Can we get the manuals translated into “strine” please, as it is there are just to many big words.
-
Well I could ban you for a while. That way you’d have time to translate the manuals and we wouldn’t have to waste our time reading your nonsense.

Very real button on the throttle, the same one that is used to move the cursor : if you press it, you uncage missile seekers.
Nope. Don’t confuse uncage with BORE / SLAVE toggle, please.
Greets.

Now after I got reply here I can do it the only thing what I had to do hold the button of cursor enable after I have ucaged. Great!
Just nitpicking, but it’s the other way around. Leave the seeker caged to ensure the diamond is centered. Then select BORE by pressing cursor enable to actually slave the seeker to the HMCS (if active) and fly the diamond over or at least near a target, then uncage to confirm it tracks that targed autonomously.
From my understanding you can also select “BORE” for the sidewinder on the MfD. Then the seeker (diamond) should stay centered in the HUD or (if active) in the HMCS. Just fly the diamond over a target and uncage. As explained before, no cursor enable would be required in this case.
greets.

Oh, yep, my bad, as the discussion addressed both buttons, I mixed them both. Which I have no excuse for : I use both buttons, clearly separated, on my own HOTAS. Apologies.

…sounds like you got it, anyway!
