I was wondering is there a way to turn this off…3-4g turns are causing me to loss sight on the heading tape because of the downward line of sight changing. I image this is not a issue in reality but i could be convince other wise. How do I turn this off?

      thx.

I believe that is actually due to the HUD drifting and not from head movement. But I’m wondering about any kind of G-related head movement as well. Lately when trying to do four-point rolls or a knife-edge pass, rolling 90 degrees and kicking the rudder will throw my head out of whack and it really distracts me.

Well, I am not sure about HUD drift causing this since i thought Drift C/O turned that off?

drift C/O disables the FPM drifting left and right in the HUD due to crosswind. It has no effect on the placement of the heading tape. On F-16s the heading tape does fall off the HUD in reality, although there is some discussion on the amount of visibility to the lower section of the HUD in BMS, and its placement.

@Lobster, have you seen videos of the Thunderbirds doing 4 point rolls? Its realistic to have your head thrown out of whack, as you put it… 😛

Not specifically, but in most videos I’ve seen pilots just rotate their heads to compensate. Unfortunately the TrackClip Pro is absolute crap for roll inputs.
