BlackHawk's Saitek X52 Keyfile/DX Profile for BMS 4.33

Thanks Blackhawk.
Where is the Chaffe button? And I assume the trigger is for guns, I don’t think anyone changes that.

The pics in his first post show where all that is. You may need to refer to the dash1 document (x:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Docs\Falcon BMS Manuals\TO-BMS1F-16CM-1.pdf) to get up to speed on the proper HOTAS functions. Check around pages 28 and 55 for stick and throttle diagram and BMS callbacks.
For instance “chaff” is not a proper HOTAS function. ‘CMSUp’ (manual program release 1-4) and ‘CMSLeft’ (manual program release 6) are. The manual programs 1 thru 6 are user definable for a variety of chaff/flare options …. different amounts, different times and different ‘repeat’ intervals. Once the programs are created, you load them with you data cartridge (part of a ramp start) and select the active program on the CMDS panel on the left near where your knee would be.
For instance, I usually select program 3 which is 2 Flare at the same time, then 0.250 seconds later 2 chaff. That will run from CMS Up. For CMS Left (program 6) I have chaff only 2 chaffs, 3 times with 0.500 seconds between bursts.
BTW and FWIW: I like this profile better than the KesMonkey profile for two reasons. 1.) It’s up-to-date with BMS 4.33 / 4.33.1. No outdated or obsolete callbacks. And, 2.) it 100% DX which means there is no Saitek ‘middle man’ software interpreting, and occasionally screwing up, keyboard commands. In other words, it does not rely on key board emulation … it’s all direct callbacks to BMS.

Hey Guys, I can’t download to Dropbox. You get an error saying it doesn’t download. If someone has this, I could sure use a copy.
Thanks, Titanium55

Hello everyone
I have a Saitek X52 HOTAS, it has been proving difficult to program with the new Logitech drivers and software. For some unknow reasons, it would not load profiles I downloaded.
I decided to go with the keyfile editor program to do a DX mapping and it was really straight forward.
Now I want to change the default mapping I got with the keyfile editor and cannot find any information on how to do this. I did some changes in-game with BMS controller
setup but the change I intend to do now involves the shifted state DX mappings with the Hat pov buttons. I do not want to mess up the mapping as it is now so I would really
appreciate info or a link to the proper way to do this. I read I could copy and paste value, I just do not know if this is applicable in DX mapping and where to paste the copied values to effect the changes if this is the way to go.
