AIFF procedures
-
I know the AIFF-system isn’t fully implemented in BMS but there is a posibility to activate certain transponder modes and enter the codes for the modes.
Unfortunately, the interrogation-page is restricted to activating modes and entering codes (No CPL/DCPL functions unfortunately)But I’d like to ask you guys: Can somebody tell me where to activate modes and when to enter the appropiate codes (on the transponder-page)
Or do you know where I can find the information about this ?
Thanks in advance

When you press IFF button on the ICP, you get the IFF page on the DED. There you can set and activate/deactive M1/M2/M3/M4 and set M4 to A or B.
Entering 2 digits and press enter will change M1 value. Enter 4 digits + enter will change M3. Enter “2” and then 4 digits + enter will change M2.
Press 1 + enter will toggle M1 on/off, same for 2:M2, 3:M3, 4:M4.
Next to MC, A and AUD you see other numbers between (). Use those to toggle them. So 5+enter will toggle MC. 6+enter will toggle M4 1 or B etc. -
You can display code in DED, but it has zero effect behind and is purely cosmetics ATM.

But the problem is: I don’t know when to enter the codes and where to activate certain modes
And with when and where, I mean the real POS/TIME feature, where you manually enter modes/codes and they get activated when you are, for example, North of STPT 4 and at 13:00.
And yes, you can enter whatever code you’d like. But I’d like to enter and activate the correct code and mode at the appropiate time and or position

It’s pure eye candy, so in game it doesn’t matter.
M3 is normally ATC (regular squawk). Rest depends on numerous factors (IRL they can even set stuff like activat/deactive at certain times or when crossing north of certain point etc).
