Is it just me? No mater what… each time I input the package number… it never finds it… (package not found error)…yet after expanding the list… its always shown down somewhere in the list… and the required flight is available to be opened

@jc1:
Hi Falcas,
I downloaded “Battle for Balkans”, v1.1.5 for single player and created one package with one flight. When I load WDP I get this error:
If I “Continue”, and select “Battle for Balkans” from the Theatres menu, I get the same message. Can anything be done?
Hi JC1,
Thanks for the screenshot. Next time please click on the button “details” that will give me a lot more information about the error.
Very likely this has already been fixed.Gr Falcas

Problem solved. Went back to version 3.6.3
Selecting package works just fine now. -
? is clicking on a country so difficult?
-
I clicked on Country… selected Korea…
made no difference… Find box does not find package
3.6.3 finds it just fine every time -
The code for this is exactly the same in 3.6.3 and 3.6.4…
But don’t worry, did do a change for the next release.

Hi,
I think the confusion in this conversation has come from the fact that “Choose Country” (Korea for instance) is not the same here as the “Choose Side” (DPRK or ROK) part in WDP.
I think the way it was before is that we just choose a side once and then the search did automatically search the tree for this “side”. Maybe that had changed somehow?
Anyway thanks Falcas for your support, really grateful for this.Regards
Obi

No confusion on my part. I certainly know and understand the difference between selecting Country and Side. In my case… Upon opening the file… the proper Side is already highlighted…Again… at least for me… 3.6.4 does not find the package…
3.6.3 does -

Hi Falcas,
I used your latest WDP v3.6.4.0. So I tried again and had two different outcomes. The first outcome leads to a blank datacard and I exited WDP. The second outcome leads to a successful datacard, but I had messages along the way. I will detail for you all the steps I took for outcome 1 and outcome 2.
Outcome 1:
Start BMS with Korea Theatre
Select Battle for Balkans Theatre
Exit BMS
Start WDP and get a msgClick OK
Get an error msgDetails of above error msg:
Click Continue
WDP opens with “Balkans” Theatre
Click File
Get e msgClick OK
Get error msgDetails of error msg
Continue
Get a blank datacard
Exit WDP
–---------------------------------------------
Now for the second outcome. I almost exited WDP after the first messge of this outcome, but I went all the way and got a good datacard.
Start BMS with Battle for Balkans Theatre
Switch to Korea Theatre
Exit BMS
Start WDP
Get a msgClick OK
WDP opens with Balkans Theatre ( Note: not the Battle for Balkans Theater)
Click File
Select my .tac file Battle for Balkans
Get a msgClick yes
Then I got a choice of which side to fly, made a choice, continued and got a good datacard.I hope these details of my experience with WDP, a fun program, will shed some light on why some error messages pop up. It seems that the second outcome is the correct way to do it. This leads me to believe that before you open WDP, you must have previously exited BMS with the Korea Theatre, not some other theater. Is that right? Did my detailed outcomes show anything that I did incorrectly?

Thanks again Falcas for relentlessly building on this new and better falcon interface.
Downloading and checking but asking at the same time:
Can I produce a sort of briefing text file for the next mission with WDP?
For the speech recognizer placeholders I would need to have a file with:
- airbase
- alternate
- callsign + flightnumber ( Bat 3 )
- pilots role in the Flight (1,2,3,4)
- awacs callsign
- tanker callsign
- takeoff time
Any normal briefing text would do.
Edit: OK, installed WDP and it looks like the briefing can only be printed, but can not be saved to ‘.txt’ file and there is missing some of the required info information that I would need.
WDP looks fantastic by the way - a complete digital pilot briefing room with hundreds of new functions to explore. wow! I like the new map functions - incredible job you have done.
Livrot
EDIT: OK - there is a briefing file in the ‘User’ folder on BMS. Looks like all I need.
But maybe WDP could have an option, that upon saving to the DTC it would also create such a ‘.txt’ file and then start ‘Livrot Mic Command’ with the briefing filepath as a command line parameter.
This way LMC would not need a single click to either run and to be configured for the next mission. ( for those that use LMC ) -

If you save the datacard, everything is saved as jpeg to view on an extrenal device (ipad for example)
WDP used to save everything to a text file, but that has been removed.Gr Falcas

Thanks, found it in the .bdc file.
This is the best solution, it is very simple to extract the DC values from that file for me.

Any idea?

Hello,
i have a problem with selecting the Side/Package of the US Team in my campaign and with any other .cam, .tac file.
Is there anything i have missed ? The only sides i can select is ROK and DPRK.
Regards,
Felix

Gunman…
Try opening settings… and select “reset sides”
That sometimes works for me -
Hello,
that was my first idea but it did not work. Tried it 20 times or so. Did reinstalls but nothing helps.
-
Hi,
This is very normal. US is a guest of ROK, you will find your flight under ROK.
Has been explained already in this thread.Gr Falcas
