Weapon Delivery Planner released

Hi Again Falcas,
OK yes it apparently installed, even though the load bar only reaches 7/10 green, I can agree with that, no problem there. But after I save a MSN to the DTUC and go direct to the WDP it is not there. I must close the WDP completely, then reopen it just to see the saved file.
I suppose with DTUC you mean the DTC?
Why do you only want to load the DTC for a mission? You are aware the the DTC for the specific mission is loaded automatically when you load a mission? The country is Korea and it appears in the title block of WDP. The saved MSN is in Korea. When asked which country do you want to fly in I select ROK. Then the MSN Package No# page shows up, I then type in the MSN Pkg No# and that’s when the message
Package XXXX not found in this country select
the correct country and try again. As stated before… Select the country first. In your example select ROK so that it is highlighted. Than go the the search option. (yes the highlight will be gone at this stage)
pops up. I’ve tried using the expand and as stated above the list of packages is very long I only found the package once in the list that’s why the find Package page is so convenient and when I did select it, that was not the same MSN I had saved. when I went back to the Data Card I selected Different Package and again I got the above message.
Reading all this, I see that WDP works as it should.
The other problem I have is I have to EXIT the WDP program completely (shut it down) then reopen the WDP in order for the saved MSN from the DTUC to show up in the FILE menu. I have used several of you outstanding versions of the WDP. If you recall I wrote to you about the A/R refueling timing problem about a year ago and your answer explained the solution to the problem, point being I am not a stranger to using your programs but this problem just does not go away
WeakLink
The browse for a file screen is a default windows one. Not much I can do here.
But better explain what you are doing… MSN I suppose mean mission? are we talking about TE campaign or training?
DTUC? You mean the DTC? If so, with what function/button are you trying to open the file?gr Falcas
EDIT: You are looking in the correct place where the file is located?

WDP crashes if I select a campaign save file without any flights in ATO. Array index out of bounds.
Hi Frederf,
This is known and fixed.

Hi Falcas,
Thanks for the information, having a full day work with the program and your valuable suggestions I think I’ve figured out mostly all the problems. As stated the load bar only completes to 7/10 (green) leaving the impression the program did not load, but that’s the first miscue seen. (no big deal for me and other now that this is known)
After setting up for a BMS mission (MSN) and saving the DTC (DTUC was incorrect spelling) I went back to the WDP program. It opened to Data card, I selected Korea (which was already in country block) but exposed the list of countries and selected it again and it appeared in the country block.
I then selected the heading “File” which exposed the listing of the five (5) available saved mission (MSNs) slots. Upon opening that, at the top there is a title that states “open mission” I for one thought it was a sub title not an active directive title. Your explanation
“The browse for a file screen is a default windows one”Cleared this up, by selecting what I thought was a subtitle heading “Open Mission” (and not active) does open the browse window with all SAVED missions that WDP recognizes.
AT this point you select the saved mission you wish to activate and this loads into the “open mission file” in one of the available 5 slots. In the new features 364 notepad, the “FILE” is mentioned but was not clear to me what it really did, now I understand. “Open Mission” is not just a subtitle but a active file that lets you view the saved campaigns.
Once you get to package selection in the former versions you would put the package number in the “FIND box” and the program would drop down to your package, where in “Expand All or Close ALL mode” it found the package you were looking for. Now for some reason this function doesn’t work for my computer, I get the message:Package XXXX not found in this country select
the correct country and try again. However it can be found by expanding the package list and searching the list of packages. As Blu3wolf said I might have selected the wrong package number hence the wrong Data card would show up. So all questions asked have been resolved except, why the use of the package no# in the “Find box” doesn’t work and produces the same message:
Package XXXX not found in this country select
the correct country and try again. Is it my computer, the program, or am I still making an error in using the program properly? Quick review everything seems to be working correctly except using the package number in the “FIND Box” which results in the message above.
Forgive the long post but it might solve some of the questions that are asked of you. For all us non computer types and newbe’s perhaps you might consider under the “FILE” sub option put “Open Mission Files” instead of just “open mission” it makes it just a little clearer just a suggestion.

Wow… I can understand that not everybody knows how Falcon works… But it looks like you are missing a lot of the basics.
Hi Falcas,

It opened to Data card, I selected Korea (which was already in country block) but exposed the list of countries and selected it again and it appeared in the country block. No, What you see on the main screen are not a selection of a country, but those are different theaters.
Korea is a theater, not a country.I then selected the heading “File” which exposed the listing of the five (5) available saved mission (MSNs) slots.
These are the last 5 missions you have loaded.
Upon opening that, at the top there is a title that states “open mission” I for one thought it was a sub title not an active directive title. Your explanation
“The browse for a file screen is a default windows one”
Cleared this up, by selecting what I thought was a subtitle heading “Open Mission” (and not active) does open the browse window with all SAVED missions that WDP recognizes.
AT this point you select the saved mission you wish to activate and this loads into the “open mission file” in one of the available 5 slots. In the new features 364 notepad, the “FILE” is mentioned but was not clear to me what it really did, now I understand. “Open Mission” is not just a subtitle but a active file that lets you view the saved campaigns.Yes, just load the mission you want to use or select one of the 5 “last used” to quickly open a mission.
You can open Campaigns, TE or Training missions.Once you get to package selection in the former versions you would put the package number in the “FIND box” and the program would drop down to your package, where in “Expand All or Close ALL mode” it found the package you were looking for. Now for some reason this function doesn’t work for my computer, I get the message:

As I wrote you before, in this screen you first have to click/select the country where your flight belongs to. Than go to the find function.
This is also exactly what the messages says… select the correct country and try again. All the datacards are not created depending on a selection of a package. You can not select a package eighter.
You can only select a Flight. Datacards are for one flight. However a flight belongs to a package, so you will also get all the information about this package. But remember… A datacard is made for one specific flight!!!
Forgive the long post but it might solve some of the questions that are asked of you. For all us non computer types and newbe’s perhaps you might consider under the “FILE” sub option put “Open Mission Files” instead of just “open mission” it makes it just a little clearer just a suggestion.

Hi Falcas,
I downloaded “Battle for Balkans”, v1.1.5 for single player and created one package with one flight. When I load WDP I get this error:
If I “Continue”, and select “Battle for Balkans” from the Theatres menu, I get the same message. Can anything be done?
-
Is it just me? No mater what… each time I input the package number… it never finds it… (package not found error)…yet after expanding the list… its always shown down somewhere in the list… and the required flight is available to be opened

Problem solved. Went back to version 3.6.3
Selecting package works just fine now. -
? is clicking on a country so difficult?
-
I clicked on Country… selected Korea…
made no difference… Find box does not find package
3.6.3 finds it just fine every time -
The code for this is exactly the same in 3.6.3 and 3.6.4…
But don’t worry, did do a change for the next release.

Hi,
I think the confusion in this conversation has come from the fact that “Choose Country” (Korea for instance) is not the same here as the “Choose Side” (DPRK or ROK) part in WDP.
I think the way it was before is that we just choose a side once and then the search did automatically search the tree for this “side”. Maybe that had changed somehow?
Anyway thanks Falcas for your support, really grateful for this.Regards
Obi

No confusion on my part. I certainly know and understand the difference between selecting Country and Side. In my case… Upon opening the file… the proper Side is already highlighted…Again… at least for me… 3.6.4 does not find the package…
3.6.3 does -

Hi Falcas,
I used your latest WDP v3.6.4.0. So I tried again and had two different outcomes. The first outcome leads to a blank datacard and I exited WDP. The second outcome leads to a successful datacard, but I had messages along the way. I will detail for you all the steps I took for outcome 1 and outcome 2.
Outcome 1:
Start BMS with Korea Theatre
Select Battle for Balkans Theatre
Exit BMS
Start WDP and get a msgClick OK
Get an error msgDetails of above error msg:
Click Continue
WDP opens with “Balkans” Theatre
Click File
Get e msgClick OK
Get error msgDetails of error msg
Continue
Get a blank datacard
Exit WDP
–---------------------------------------------
Now for the second outcome. I almost exited WDP after the first messge of this outcome, but I went all the way and got a good datacard.
Start BMS with Battle for Balkans Theatre
Switch to Korea Theatre
Exit BMS
Start WDP
Get a msgClick OK
WDP opens with Balkans Theatre ( Note: not the Battle for Balkans Theater)
Click File
Select my .tac file Battle for Balkans
Get a msgClick yes
Then I got a choice of which side to fly, made a choice, continued and got a good datacard.I hope these details of my experience with WDP, a fun program, will shed some light on why some error messages pop up. It seems that the second outcome is the correct way to do it. This leads me to believe that before you open WDP, you must have previously exited BMS with the Korea Theatre, not some other theater. Is that right? Did my detailed outcomes show anything that I did incorrectly?

Thanks again Falcas for relentlessly building on this new and better falcon interface.
Downloading and checking but asking at the same time:
Can I produce a sort of briefing text file for the next mission with WDP?
For the speech recognizer placeholders I would need to have a file with:
- airbase
- alternate
- callsign + flightnumber ( Bat 3 )
- pilots role in the Flight (1,2,3,4)
- awacs callsign
- tanker callsign
- takeoff time
Any normal briefing text would do.
Edit: OK, installed WDP and it looks like the briefing can only be printed, but can not be saved to ‘.txt’ file and there is missing some of the required info information that I would need.
WDP looks fantastic by the way - a complete digital pilot briefing room with hundreds of new functions to explore. wow! I like the new map functions - incredible job you have done.
Livrot
EDIT: OK - there is a briefing file in the ‘User’ folder on BMS. Looks like all I need.
But maybe WDP could have an option, that upon saving to the DTC it would also create such a ‘.txt’ file and then start ‘Livrot Mic Command’ with the briefing filepath as a command line parameter.
This way LMC would not need a single click to either run and to be configured for the next mission. ( for those that use LMC ) -

If you save the datacard, everything is saved as jpeg to view on an extrenal device (ipad for example)
WDP used to save everything to a text file, but that has been removed.Gr Falcas
