Weapon Delivery Planner released

In RL sometimes you have to speak on the radio in “the open” (no cipher, no Havequick… no encryption, so anyone can make Intel out of it-“COMINT”).
Under the numbers 0 to 9 goes the “RAMROD”. A special common lenguage WORD that do not REPEAT any letter and can be use to Authenticate other people on the radio (GCI/AWACS to/from Jets) in what is commonly know as “Challenge and response”… For example, the word “BENCHMARKS” in the following example:-Pilot.-“Magic, Magic, Cowboy 11 checking in, ready fot authenticate…”
-AWACS.-“Cowboy 11, authenticate BRAVO-NOVEMBER” (BENCHMARKS)
-Pilot.-“Magic, authenticate ECHO” (BENCHMARKS)Each letter is related to it´s position 0 to 9, so we can use it to encript any number, like coordinates or other numerical info. I think you already get the idea on how RAMROD is used, right?
B-ALT (Base Altitude), B-HEAD (Base Heading), B-NUM (Base Number) and B-FUEL (Base FUEL), are used with the same purpose wich is not giving the real number on the clear radio.
So they can give any information related to this “BASE” number.
Once they are used, they are compromised, because, within a little time, and specially if used more that once, it´s easy to decript the combination… Specially if you use BASE numbers in combination with RAMROD, and they have you under RDR control. That´s why the RAMROD is aplicable for only one week, and if used, needs to be reported and a new RAMROD will be choosen.
Remember that nowadays, people have “secure” radios(KY, HQ, Link16), and this methodology is still aplicable, but rather as a back up plan if your secure comms fail.

I am currently unable to import mission data from the Falcon Online campaign server (unhandled exception error); however I have discovered a work-around that may be of interest to others. By default, the data card and DTC had some obsolete flightplan steerpoint data, which overwrote the actual flightplan data when the WDP data was written to the Callsign.ini file. Simply by deleting all the steerpoint data in the WDP DTC, all the other DTC data gets written to the Callsign.ini file, leaving the planning UI flightplan data intact. So WDP will write all its line, PPT and target data and your flightplan will remain as planned in the UI.

Hi Habu,
What version of WDP are you using?
What is the error you are getting?
Do you have the same problem with other theaters like Korea?Gr Falcas

Using WDP 3.5 .exe 02/04/2013. Program functions normally on any single-player mission from my local PC. I am running WDP on a laptop networked to the Falcon BMS PC. To “Open Mission” for the WDP Data Card in BFS multiplayer I navigate on the laptop to the BMS PC, then to Battle for Sinai add-on theater, to the mp (multiplayer) campaign and have options to choose campaign save0.cam, save1.cam and save 2.cam. Choosing any of these returns unhandled exception error (log file follows) with choices of continue or quit. If I choose CONTINUE the mission choice window opens listing the countries in the campaign, but no missions are available for selection or finding. The window asking which country I am affiliated with does not open.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.************** Exception Text **************

Aaaaaahhhhh that makes sense.
Never open a save0.cam, save1.cam or save2.cam with WDP.
There is nothing in there that you want with WDP.Gr Falcas

OK, forget all the above. I was missing the CRITICAL step of SAVING the online campaign file. Once I did that, all was well! Very much appreciate your service to this community, by the way.
-
New problem. I make some precision targets and backup/save the target list. When I load my saved file the targets I entered previously have disappeared.

Korea PvP, stock one, no mods… I get the same with Aegean also.
With Aegean with the previous WDP I didn’t had this issue.
-
And the next version will also not have this issue.
-
New version release, latest version is 3.5.1
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?5293-Weapon-Delivery-Planner&p=66013#post66013Again I have to thank Toquemao for his extensive beta testing!!!
Also thanks to Scuby for his hi-res icon.Enjoy,

Hi falcas
In the coordination card what is the difference between STD QNH and Force QNH ?
-
http://www.qooqle.nl/?q=Force+QNH or for more information http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Force+QNH
-
lmgtfy.com is in english at least…
not to mention that none of the results answer the question either.
-
Hi,
I understand that many flights or packages will use a commun force QNH to ensure that the deconfliction plan will work. But isn’t the QNE role when flying above transition level or Force QNH is used only below TL ? -
ah, much better - and now the first result actually is relevant.
