Cockpit lighting
-
Hi guys,
I installed a aqua blue panel lighting back in the 4.32 era and every update seems to bring that lighting forward with each update. When night vision is used the HUD becomes a green circle and unusable. But of late I’ve seen several pic’s where night vision is used and the HUD is clear as day. So the question is this natural, as I recall with night lighting (standard dim white lighting) in previous BMS Sims the HUD was unusable also, (perhaps memory fails). In any event is it possible to fly night with NVG’s and cockpit lighting? And if I remove the present cockpit lighting will the BMS 4.33 U 1 lighting for the cockpit take effect or how do I correct the present lighting situation.Solved: HUD lowest setting (control wheel) HUD lowest setting FLIR (control wheel), first click instrument knob, no back lighting, and select only one of the triple buffering setting either in the BMS configuration setup or your graphic card setup.

I had the same issue, unusable hud with nv on. Solved by installing a night vision mod from the forum, forget who it was. Will look and see and report back.
This one…

Thanks mastersetter, without mod I just turned down the HUD and one click on instrument lights, not great but usable, I’ll take a look at that mod thanks again for the help

Check the Day/Night/Auto switch for the HUD also …. low setting on the brightness wheel and night option for overall HUD should help.
The other option, in blocks/configurations where applicable, is to turn on the FLIR in the HUD.

Agave_Blue, good Idea, never move that switch LOL. Works well still a little hard to see either HSI globe but still much better, thanks
