Starting in BMS
-
Hey guys, I need your help.
I am coming from DCS (Hog pilot here
) and I really want to start playing BMS more (It is better at the moment for me…FA18, F16 and other theaters). I have just a problem that I am a little bit unfamiliar with the setting menu, with the panel that is in front of you in the cockpit (I don’t really know its exact name sorry) and I still didn’t figure out what to where bind to my T.Flight Hotas X joy.
Could you guys help me out with it please? Maybe post a good explanation video or just write down what to do and so on. I’d be very grateful.
Greetings from Slovakia.

The ICP is the numberpad staring you in the face in the cockpit, it’s the Integrated Control Panel and controls all the fun avionics in your jet. Radios, steerpoints, laser codes, altitude alerts, datalinks ect. all are controlled from this lovely panel. The DED, Data Entry Display, is the little green display to the right of it in the cockpit, it shows all the stuff you’re putting into the ICP. The ICP is very simple to use. At the bottom there is a four way switch, commonly called a Dobber switch. If you ever get confused, just hit dobber left (RTN) until you get back to the main screen. Dobber up and down will cycle through options on the DED. Dobber Right (SEQ) will move to the next page in the category you’re looking.
At the top of the ICP there’s your shorcuts. COM 1, COM 2 both control your UHF and VHF radio. LIST brings up the entire program list for you to peruse. AA and AG switch you to air to air and air to ground mode. On the Israeli F-16s, LIST is replaced by SAK, which brings you to the datalink page, and Dobber Right (SEQ) opens the List page.
The List page is easy to understand, click the button corresponding to the option on the DED.
