The PIDSU pylon model is ready. There are a station 3 and a station 7 model in the package. You can download the package here:
https://www.janhas.net/Files/LV4_R_PIDSU_Left_%26_Right.zip
Next model I’m going to do is ECIPSU pylon. -
That’s great Jan! I was trying to do one with LODEditor from the stock model but I wasn’t able to do it. Are you also planning to create the smaller EGBU-49?
Yes, the 49 is the first weapon on the “new weapon models list”. Working now on a few tweaked pylon models.
-
I installed then after it Its doing these…:?
I did as well. When viewed in editor the 370 gallon tank still has a pylon attached. This was new pylon pack d/led on July 4 from janhas.net
-
The ECIPSU pylon can be downloaded as well.
https://www.janhas.net/Files/LV4_R_ECIPSU.zip
The ECIPS+ pylon is next… -
How do you use these pylons? I found the PIDSU pylon in the editor, but the “used by” is blank.
-
Added to the Dutch F-16AM, 148th FS skins!!

Thanks a lot Jan!

I’m currently skinning the ECIPS+ pylon (including the RNLAF PIDS+ model) -

You can edit this in the fm file (use Notepad++, not wordpad!). I changed the pylons to the “hardpoint4Grp f16-ecips±3/4” and “hardpoint8Grp f16-pids±6/7” for the F-16AM RNLAF and it works just fine.
-
The ECIPS+/PIDS+ models are ready too. The models can handle multiple versions of the skin. You can download the package from here: https://www.janhas.net/Files/LV4_R_ECIPS_plus_%26_PIDS_plus.zip
I have added the model to the Pylons_pods_and_fuel_tanks zip as well (now v3.4) -

as a big fan of JanHas wonderfull jobs, just to let you know my xperience about editing sim file to use marvellous ecips+/pids+. Despite warning to use notepad instead wordpad, after a couple of try where having messed the installation, I try to use wordpad to edit fm file within sim folder. Everything run perfectly now …I don’t know why but work fine in my case
-
-
sorry to ask, but how do you install these? i mean, i followed each step, like i had done before with every other janhas models, but i still cannot see the new pilons, just the oldones
-
Not Windows “notepad” … but Notepad++
do not use Windows Notepad, nor Wordpad … prefer Notepad++ as advised by JanHas.
Well…thanks for explanation, now it’s clear why I’ve messed up my installation. Lukly I’ve ready to use a back-up. Unfortunately I have a very limited skill and in any case a “vanilla wordpad” of my W7 been able to fix everything. So for those among us that don’t know how or where to find a notepad++…don’t loose hope…:-D wordpad done the job … in my case. ( This means that I don’t experience a CTD or something like that.) In the next days I will go to search a notepad++

I recommend VSCODE

In our tests with Jan last year we discovered that any notepad application (Windows notepad, notepad++, Notepad2, wordpad) that for any reason (Windows region, main language, location settings etc) changes encoding (mainly between UTF-8 vs ANSI) each time the application is opened to edit a FM/AFM/.dat file, it might save file characters in different format due to the encoding so pork the FM/AFM and result to bad things within game (e.g. seen the landing gears in half extended angles) up to CTD.
As a rule, always check & keep the encoding of the stock FM files coming with BMS.
For a quick example IIRC below, in F-16’s FM in the ENGINE part there are “temperature degrees” symbols, try to play with encodings and see that happens.
FTITStart 6.170 #Dash-1 limitation 680° (Dee-Jay)
FTITIdle 4.770 #Dash-1 limitation 575° (Dee-Jay)
FTITMax 9.070 #Dash-1 limitation 980° (Dee-Jay)
FTITAB 9.070 #Dash-1 limitation 980° (Dee-Jay) -
Found out and downloaded Notepad++ Edited file.dat, everything goes smooth like a silk… again many thanks to JanHas for great job and to everybody for headup and help.
Have a great time everyone.

Anyone need a tow? The new towbar can be downloaded via this link: https://www.janhas.net/Files/MD-1.zip
The model had been added to the N-GSE (v2) package. It has a 4096 texture but smaller size textures are included as well (2048/1024).
