Fragging a SEAD Escort
-
Hey guys. First off, Happy Thanksgiving!!
Now the question. When I’m fragging a package in the campaign, I can find SEAD and DEAD in the drop-down menu for Role, but I can’t find SEAD Escort. How do I assign a flight to my package to do SEAD Escort, or assign my flight to do SEAD Escort for another flight in my same package? Thanks!!

SEAD is now SEAD escort, DEAD is now SEAD strike
-
Thanks guys! My next question is when i assign the SEAD flight a TOT, is the TOT the time the SEAD flight rendezvous with my flight, or when they arrive at the target I’m striking?
-
TOT is the time they fly over the target, AFAIK. So a SEAD flight with a TOT of 4:30:30 will be over target 30 seconds before the (let’s say) OCA strike in the same pkg with a TOT of 4:31:00.

TOT is time on target, what you’re looking for is the “push” steerpoint where everyone meets up. if you’re looking to rendezvous everything there, make sure the TOS (time on steerpoint) is close to the same for everybody.

@Cik:
make sure the TOS (time on steerpoint) is close to the same for everybody.
No necessarily. Or even not a good idea at all (deconfliction/minimum safety range/mutual support) … being all over the same location at the same time is certainly not good (better have SEAD three or four minutes ahead, SWEEPers one or two minutes ahead, ESCORT two minutes behind, EW not overflying the target … etc …)

“ESCORT two minutes behind”
Are escorts flown behind main strike flights in real life? -
Thanks for all the help guys!!

@Master:
“ESCORT two minutes behind”
Are escorts flown behind main strike flights in real life?Depends on escort type (Detached escort/Close escort/Embedded escort/Moving CAP …) and elements to protect (SlowMo).
