Custom modded folder for Aegean Theater

Hello fellow Falconeers,

I decided to gather up all the goodies for this nice theater in one place, so let me present to you this custom modded folder - “Aegean Wars”:

This pack contains:

• Latest Fix 1.2 by neystratiou
• Tomcatz HighRes Tiles V2
• New campaign and HAF skins by 373 Virtual Squadron “Phoenix”
• HAF Skins of Hercules C-130, Mirage F1, F-4E Phantom made by kouritis for 320FW
• 28 tactical engagement mission (by varius sources, sry can’t remember them all)
• New UI, BuAF and SrAF skins by 1st VTE
• HAF cockpit lights by Kouritis

Install instructions:

• First install original Aegan Theater v1.1 ( https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?7330-Aegean-Theatre-DOWNLOAD-AREA )

- Then unpack the “Aegan Wars” archive and overwrite the “Add-on Aegan” folder

Update - 29.06.2014

• Fixed minor errors with skins and UI
• Added correct “stations+ils.dat” file from neystratiou’s 1.2 fix
• New Save0.tri by Cloud9 (Big Thanks!) which stops the campaign crashes

Update - 25.05.2015

• Bandirma and Balikesir ABs are leveled and positioned properly. TuAF air forces are not stuck on the ground anymore.
• All squadrons are set by HQ now.
• Fixed coalitions color, Greece is blue and Turkey is red.
• Added HAF F-4s, F-16 CFT and TuAF F-5s squadrons in the campaign, with unrealisic order of battle, optimized for better campaign experience and balanced air war.
• Special thanks to agalnov and molnibalage for helping me out with solving a lot of issues!

@Cobra00:

• in order to play the new campaign one have to choose airbase and squadron, then go to “Order of Battle” menu find the selected airbase, then right clicking on his squadron and choose “Status”. In the lower left corner of the menu select - “Set by HQ” and you are good to go with the campaign.

Installed the custom modded folder found the new 28 TE missions but can;t see how to start the new campaign…
I try to select an airbase to start the campaign but there are not any avaliable in the map (like all the rest theaters)… Is this normal or there is propably a mistake of mine when installing the folder?
So how do I choose airbase and squadron before go to “Order of Battle”?

Ok! now it works!! Thanks for your efforts Cobra00 in creating a working campaign in Aegean Theater!!
From a first look i can see that the order of battle could include some adjustments in order to simulate as close as possible the real locations of Squadrons and aircraft types used by HAF and TuAF
Here you can have a clear view of HAF order of battle with a very useful interactive map that directs you to specific Fighter Wings - squadrons and their locations

Hope that these can provide easy access to latest info of order of battle in Aegean, so your campaign can become even more realistic if you wish to complete your project!

First post updated with mediafire link, hope that works. You shouldn’t have problems with speedyshare also. You don’t need a download menager. Just click on the name on the file on top of the page:

So now that we have a working campaign for Aegean Theater v1.1 can the original creators of “Aegean Wars” add a more “close to real” order of battle for HAF and TuAF units?

I m sure its possible to represent the actual order of real Squadrons to the map from both sides of Aegean so we can make things more interesting…

Hi there “Cobra00”.
Well i noticed a mismatch in your files.
You have into the folder “Docs” included the NavAids list pdf file, but in the folder …\Add-On Aegean\Campaign\Aegean the “stations+ils.dat” file is not the proper one as it inside the Hotfix v1.2.
This will give a lot of issues in air navigation inside Aegean theater, so if you want replace the correct “stations+ils.dat” file from the Hotfix v1.2 or just delete the NavAids list from the folder “Docs” in order to not confuse the users of that mod.

I had taken some notes on a first impression of this mod and maybe it makes sense to post these screens here.

2nd issue was at one airbase, units ran over runway, old Falcon issue, day one, ca 06.30.
