Nothing regarding layout has changed in the latest version. Was it a problem with earlier versions too?

never got it to work
Hm, did you try starting the app while holding the tablet in portrait mode, optionally locking the rotation in the tablet settings?
I just tried starting the app in landscape on a tablet. That does not work well, even after rotation, so that might be an important factor for you.
Edit: I found out how to enforce portrait mode when the app starts. I will add that in a future maintenance release. In the meantime please try if portrait mode upon start helps
Yup that worked, thanks, but when pressing BMS button just get awaiting server
i see NO cmd window when starting the server?

Many thanks, however how do i know the server is running on my PC?
And is there a way to resize the app on my tablet? as in portrait it hides the BMS
button off the edge and in landscape it only shows so much of the bullseye?
many thanks
