RE: Pro Flight X-56 Rhino
My X55 is worth a damn!! Extremely happy with it once I figured out how to use the SST. Glad I didn’t spend all that money on the Warthog. If you take good care of it, it’ll last you a long time no matter the build.

RE: Pro Flight X-56 Rhino
Just got it. There are two 4 way switches on the throttle, and three 8 way switches on the stick. However BMS don’t recognise the stick at all, only the throttle. Perhaps BMS is too “old” to support modern cotrols. Bugger for me, as I just switched the Logitech g940 for the x56. Great sim, but just too outdadet?
My deepest apoligies. my system don’t recognise the stick. So not a BMS issue I hope.’
So you’re saying under the controller setup in BMS the controller drop down menu only shows the throttle??

RE: X55 mapping in game sometimes gets lost
I’m using SST with 2 modes and no issues whatsoever!! Don’t know why everyone is having problems with it.

RE: No Joy on X-55
First thing check to make sure saitek stick is chosen in the controller drop down menu. If you choose throttle, you’ll have problems.

RE: X55 throttles
My bad…meant to say “Stick”. Leave it on Stick and bind all your buttons accordingly. Do not change it from “Stick”.
Drac!!! Can’t believe you dropped the ball on this one. You’ve been on point through this forum since you figured out the stick until now!!

RE: Having issues with X55 in BMS4.33
I haven’t had the opportunity to fly in 4.33, but I use the SSD software. I’ll give it a test to see how it goes.

RE: MemphisBelle´s X55 Rhino Profile
Leave your controller to Joystick. If you change it to Throttle, it will screw things up. Make all your assignments with “Joytick” in your controller.
Exactly what HE said!

RE: Please help me with my Saitek 55
Glad you got it sorted out! Once you figure it out, it is a great stick!

RE: X55 worth getting?
No, I just got an X55 to replace my old X52. Now after 4 years going back to the Viper, I must re learn everything and re type in this wonderful simulation!
One great thing about the X55 and BMS, just bind everything from the sims GUI and save it.
Great stick and throttle.
That’s the way everyone is going and it’s very easy, but it limits the X55 and you can’t use it to it’s full potential. If you learn how to use the software for it, you can create a good profile using all 3 modes. There’s a great video created by Frugal on youtube that show’s you how to use the software. Either way is great depending on what you want to get out of the X55.

RE: I need one profile for x-55
Some of the guys are programing the X55 within BMS. For me, that makes the controller 1 demensional. I created a profile using the software with 2 modes. If you would like to try it out, just pm me your email and I’ll send it to you.

RE: X55 Installation
I saw a noticeable half second delay using their software. Don’t want to die to a heater because of that.
I haven’t experienced any delays. Everything is nice and smooth even when refueling.

RE: X55 Installation
A lot of people programmed the X55 in BMS, but I created a profile using the software. It was a little difficult at first, but after watching a video by Frugal’s that shows you how to use the software, it was easy. My profile works like a charm and I only use 2 modes, so I still have room to program more controls. Why only use 1/3 of the sticks potential??

RE: New X55 owner, some issues and questions…
I didn’t program the rotaries using HUD but within BMS.
-
RE: New X55 owner, some issues and questions…
I just use the rotary for radar elevation. Programmed it in advanced mode.

RE: New X55 owner, some issues and questions…
I created a profile using the HUD software. Got it as close to the real thing as possible. It uses 2 modes….one for the air and one for startup. If you pm me your email, I will send it to you along with my bms .key file I use with it. I use rudder pedals and trackir. It works flawlessly in the game. No issues at all and none reported from others I have shared it with.
