@razo it is 'slightly ’ offset in-game too.
Fixed it by replacing values assigned to the landing gear in .dat file. (used default Blk.50 values)

HAF F-16C-52+ CFT Model have a slight issue. landing gears sticking out of fuselage. How can i place them inside?

Hello, I’ve been busy last couple days. I’ll take a look into Baltics F-22 file to see if there is an issue with the aircraft itself. Until then you could go into f4 editor and remove AIM9X from F-22 manually (weapons - hardpoints) this should temporarily fix the issue until i can find what’s wrong with it…
@farazparsa
@farazparsa Hello, Unfortunately i wasn’t able to replicate the issue in Both TE and Campaign ( I also have Rolling Fire campaign in progress with this mod enabled). Likely a certain AI aircraft conflicts with mod but without knowing exact cause it is impossible to fix the issue.
@drtbkj said in AIM-9X Block II Mod for BMS:
BTW, do you launch it with seeker caged or uncaged?
Caged.
@drtbkj said in AIM-9X Block II Mod for BMS:
Are the gimbal limits 90 deg? I’ve read different things, from 40 deg. to 60( due to aircraft’s system limits) to 90. I’ve also read “within 15 deg. of the gimbal limit.”
It is 90 degrees. Not sure why it is 180 degrees at database. Maybe could be post-launch value since almost every other value works fine…
@drtbkj
“It also can be decoyed by flare, despite the link.”
Since block ii can re-acquire targets, i think what happens is once flares burn-out it loops back into search and DL mode…
“I would welcome on procedures or tactics you’ve found for implementing it in 3D”
Also, it seems that Datalink connection is somehow tied to missile seeker gimbal limits, Even with a modified F-16C with 360° sensor and radar coverage, missile doesn’t enter into Datalink phase if target is out of gimbal limits and instead goes full-maddog.
Edit:
AIM-9X Blk.II with modified seeker gimbals (to simulate F-35 w/AIM-9X Datalink at WVR):
@TOPOLO
9X Block II is specifically updated to have LOAL and DL because USAF wanted to load those missiles on F-35 without decreasing the stealth factor by putting them on underwing stores.
Also, from my testing farthest kill i can get kinematically is 15nm against a bomber at 40.000ft. for fighter size maneuvering targets at 15.000ft that range drops to 9nm (head-on) at best. So they are nowhere close to any ARH missile. They are just more reliable now.
@mirv said in AIM-9X Block II Mod for BMS:
The missile is advertised to have greater kinematic range.
If i remember correctly, Block III is supposed to use different fuel type to increase range and ground-handling safety but no idea how much is the improvement over the older blocks…
@drtbkj Sure, you can include this missile to the OFM Project.
@molnibalage They implemented this feature to Mica IR in U3 (likely to test the capabilities) which how i was able to add 9X. We will likely see this feature on missiles like 9X, Python 5 and IRIS-T in further updates.
@Scorpion82 said in AIM-9X Block II Mod for BMS:
wouldn’t it possibly be better to create a separate AIM-9X Block II, rather than replacing the extant “Block I”?
Otherwise nevertheless a nice addition.
Yes, it would be more convenient to create separate Block II missile for gameplay purposes. However, in order to do that i have to create a separate database entry in KTO (and likely for every single theater). Every end-user would have to manually load those database entries using F4Editor which will complicate the installation process (unless there is another way to do it?). I might later create a standalone installer if there will be an interest for the mod.
With the addition of Datalink for IR missiles in 3.37.3U, I have implemented this feature to the AIM-9X missile. Giving it LOAL (Lock on After Launch) and Datalink with Inertial Guidance options.
Missile will perform exactly same as default AIM-9X at closer ranges. However, at longer distances it will behave similar to AIM-120 where it will receive updates mid-course via datalink. Once missile is within the seeker range, IR seeker will turn on and search for targets. If the datalink is cut during mid-course missile will fly using its own INS to this predicted target position. If launched without tone or radar lock missile will constantly search for heat signatures and will track the first one it detects (similar to maddog on amraam).
With addition of those new features, now it is possible to hit targets that are as far as 30km (15nm) away at higher altitudes without worrying about seeker limitations. Keep in mind that HUD will not display pitbull / seeker activation timer unlike ARH missiles.
Installation:
It will replace default AIM-9X missile.
Enjoy.
@vAiCon in ITO readme, there is a instruction to disable AWACS in order to make GCI work. Is this incorrect?
@Magic49th it is ITO, in KTO and Balkans AWACS works fine but some reason i don’t get any awacs at all in any of ITO campaigns unless i manually place it.
@Amadeus75 comms are fine, however there are no awacs aircraft flying during any of the missions for some reason.
@Amadeus75 said in AWACS / GCI issue:
@fegeleinn
Not 100 % sure what the problem is.AWACS aircraft are modeled just the same way as your own viper, they have their own flight plan and station time.
If AWACS airplanes are in the air and on station, they will provide support to you on the proper radio preset (UHF 6, “tactical”). If you look for them on the 2D map, you will very likely find some of them (Sentry, Chalis, Dragnet…).
Naturally, if an AWACS happens to get shot down or is forced to return to base, you won’t hear anything from it.
The same appeals to situations in which you are too far away from them.But they are there, and, if you want, you may fly to them and you will see them.
Both in 80s and modern campaign i haven’t encountered a single AWACS yet. Played 5-6 missions so far and yet no awacs at all. In KTO or Balkans it is there.
My game does not have simulate AWACS option under campaign tab in F4Patch therfore there is no AWACS or GCI in my most campaigns. How can i fix this issue? it makes campaigns borderline unplayable
I can’t enable GCI. My Settings does not show such option, does anyone else also have this issue?
