RE: Saitek X-52PRO Profile UPDATED 3-30-12
Holy crap!! It’s Hard~Deck.
What’s up buddy?
Happy Thanksgiving.
Hope you get the re-install going.
Im working on it.
Very rusty and could use some help, Im without a functioning headset ATM
Could you remind me where the Logitech x52pro .PR0-file folder is, by chance?
I have TrackIR and BMS .KEY files in place.
It would be nice to see some turkey feathers on Thanksgiving,

I haven’t had the opportunity to check out your update, Z4ng3tsu.
I’m currently trying to re-install Falcon to my machine.
Kudos to your efforts…I never imagined in 2012 that this profile would have lasted as long as it did.

HD do you think your non pro version will still work with 4.33 if i drop it in?
I believe it will.

Hello Hard Deck !
I know this is a lot to ask but, if you update your profile files to work with the 4.33 version can you upload it ? I love this configuration and I’m a lot frustrated that it is not working anymore on the new version !
Thank you
Did you copy your keyfile into the 4.33 config folder?
I did and from what I can tell the profile still works.

RE: Project X55 GERMANY (Mod)
Very nice A.S.!
I am very much looking forward to see how this turns out.
Any plans to add or modify some switches to the throttle?

I am having no issues with driver/software version 7.0.27.13 (Win7 64-bit)
Going in for another surgery Monday. If all goes well, I intend to do an update over the next few weeks.
Having used this profile for a few years now, I have some ideas about what needs to be eliminated,
(eject, jettison…etc.) and what needs improvement. No promises, but if anyone has suggestions for minor modifications, feel free to post your suggestions here.
Take care y’all.

RE: X52 pro MFD questions
I believe I read somewhere on the Saitek website that this is possible with FSX…now you have me curious, too.

RE: Saitek X-52PRO Profile UPDATED 3-30-12
It appears with the newest updates all around that this profile is broken
Sure seems that way….:-(
I am working toward a solution.
If I cannot find one, I will provide a download link and instructions to install older drivers that will work with this profile.
Please accept my apologies for not giving this issue my full attention much earlier.
Regards

RE: Saitek X-52PRO Profile UPDATED 3-30-12
….what about the “range” assigned to axis. what’s it meant to do? Is it the same as the gain? It seems strange to have two different controls for “range” one stepwise and one on axis.
The Range Knob assigned to Rotary 1 (Axis) is a TGP (Targeting Pod) range control. The TGP can be used in any mode, NAV, A-A, A-G, DGFT, MRM…etc. It is basically a zoom feature.
The Sensor Gain assigned to Pinky+Rotary 1, as Sthalik mentioned , controls the Contrast while using any of the A-G master modes in the FCR…GM, GMT and SEA stand for (Ground Map, Ground Moving Target and Sea, respectively)
Radar Range, which is assigned to Pinky+POV 2, is used to change FCR radar range from 5nm-10nm-20nm-40nm-80nm rapidly if needed. It works in NAV, A-A, and A-G modes.

RE: Saitek X-52PRO Profile UPDATED 3-30-12
Hey guys, i just got this thing up and running today. I updated the drivers, extracted the files, printed out the descriptions, and got in the air. Everything appeared to be working very smoothly but i have stumbled across a strange bug. I beleive that when I use secondary functions using the pinky switch it sometimes causes the controls to freeze. I can still manipulate intruments in the cockpit with the keyboard and mouse, but the joystick and throttle do not accept any kind of input. Also the display on the throttle freezes up at this point. Finally, i can not ctrl alt del, or alt f4 out of the sim. I can exit to desktop, but it gets stuck at a black screen with the small white icon of a little guy parachuting. The only thing i can do to fix it then is to manually shut off my computer.
Final note… this bug happened multiple times tonight, once i believe it was in combination with pinky and fire b. The other i beleive was pinky switch and rotary(gain inc/dec).
Any input would be appreciated.
First, I apologize for the lack of support on my part as I have been dealing with some serious medical issues lately.
It would be impossible for me to really make any sense out of the issues you are having at the moment, but I will advise that a) you have sticky keys turned off on your computer. And b) you have the Enable Clutch Mode box unchecked in the MFD tab of the Saitek Control Panel.
Good Luck.

Hi again,
Could you please help me? I haven’t been able to make Data Link Enable.Set Left OSB 6 to “CONT”
Hold Comms Switch Left / IFF Out (hat switch on the backside of the throttle), for 2 seconds and then release.
Upon release you should hear the DLink begin transmitting.

Yes, found it just after I posted this. Great work man! Thanks for your effort. I enjoy the setup. It’s not clear to me what the “pinkie” button does tho.
The button you press with your right pinkie activates shift states on the X52.
The ‘B’ button that you press with your right thumb labeled ‘pinkie switch’.
The pinkie switch (B button) is mode dependent and expands whatever your current SOI (Sensor Of Interest) is.
You can switch SOI by pressing DMS Down. -

I can’t seem to find the radar tilt up/down buttons or HOTAS. Anyone?
The max/min range indicator near de cursor in RWS mode doesn’t give me the needed range. It says -1/-1 and stuff like that. The default is just weird. I don’t see anyone on radar therefore. The antennae elevation (radar tilt) should be programmed to the smaller rotary on your throttle, the one around the i (clutch) button.

I’ve chaged “E” button function from simulation to assign “Cage/Uncage” function. Does that change cause something like this situation?
Not sure what you mean….
The E button is already programmed to Cage/Uncage.

RE: Saitek X-52PRO Profile UPDATED 3-30-12
Houston we have a problem!
I have used that profile since I bought my X-52 pro, there was no problem about programming early on but in recent times I have a problem in that program for x-52 pro. While I fly on sim., if I use pinkie+8 axis selector in order to change radar range stick’s lights go off and turn on again I think stick reset itself. But I didn’t have the same when control system wasn’t programmed. How can I solve it?Oy!!! I have absolutely no idea…
While I doubt it is the profile causing your ;ights to flash, it probably wouldn’t hurt to replace it with a newly downloaded one…just to be sure your current one hasn’t corrupted.
